Help me figure out what caused my attack

I haven't had an attack since early this year -- Jan or Feb.
I ate what I thought was a safe meal and got sick. Hear is what I ate:
My fiber, french bread (plain), turkey breast, new potatoes whole boiled in salted water (no butter), and butternut squash w/ a little smart balance light -- which I have had many times before with no trouble (the smart balance).
I thought squash was okay -- and it was well cooked - with no oil or anything... I read that on IBS the first year -- and potatoes have always been safe -- but I don't usually eat the peel... could that be it?

It could have been from something you ate earlier, stress, the weather, medications....?
Sounds like a pretty safe meal to me!

Hi,
I'm thinking it could be the peel. If you haven't eaten that before and now you feel sick....it makes sense.

sounds like either hte potato skin or stress to me... I'm not doing so hot today either.. only thing I can figure is i put a bit of regular ketchup (not the stuff I made) on my "fries" (I bake them and they are yummy and mildly spiced, but DH had ketchup for his and I dunked a few...) or its almost that time of the month and I get worse then aaanyway AND I got up 3 hours early to work the shift I used to work- 5 AM start... between it all- not sure if its the HFCS int he ketchup, or something else entirely.

Don't you just hate it when it flares up and you think -- if only I hadn't .......

either mash them with soy milk or eat them baked and scoop out the middle and have no trouble.... so I wondered. Since you said the peel gives you trouble, I'll go with that. Thanks so much --I just don't want to do that again -- and I know you understand.

Great theory -- but the weather was mild and I wasn't on any new meds -- and the stress factors had been pretty constant too..... nothing new or different.... I was having a good time. (until I got sick)

sOUNDS fine to me. Even Heather has the odd unexplained attack. Sometimes they come out of nowhere and you can't figure out what you ate to cause it. I would take it as that and take care of yourself and feel better. Just a stepping stone in the long river.

I know certain brands of turkey breast are loaded with MSG. I always have to watch with brands I buy.

If you are buying sliced turkey breast from deli the wrapper should tell what's in it. MSG, or whey, or chicken broth (which usually has MSG), or butter. Sometimes they inject poultry with butter, especially butter ball brand. there is all kinds of junk in our food that we don't know about.
