Hi, I posted a reply to your message over yonder on the other message board, but I guess ya didn't see it.
I asked you for some tips on Yoga and IBS/C. I have severe constipation alternating with diarrhea and am looking for some serious help. I know that sooner or later I'm going to stumble upon something that's gonna help, maybe this will be the Yoga. Can't wait to hear from you

Hey Meg,
Your post was buried on the other page but I just found it.... to answer your question, I am listing the names of some yoga postures that will be helpful for your IBS C... I am going to try to locate a website that will SHOW the postures and maybe also have a detailed description of how they are done. If nothing comes up maybe I can start a page on my website that lists them... but more on that later. Here are the names of the postures and I will go do some research... hang in there.
Bow, Corpse Pose, Knee to Chest (reinvigorates liver, spleen, intestines), Posterior Stretch, Uddiyana, Yoga Mudra, Plow
Peace,
K

Meg, I don't know all the proper names for the poses but I have been going to Yoga for about 10 months and I find any poses that involve a spinal twist really help constipation.
For example in a seated spinal twist you sit with your legs crossed and back straight. Put your right hand on your left knee and your left hand around on the floor behind you. Then inhale and as you exhale turn your head to look over your left shoulder. I usually hold the pose for about 6-8 breaths but I have worked up to that. On every exhalation I try to move a little bit deeper into the pose. Then I repeat the same but on the other side.
Hope this helps... Kerrie

I'm not sure if you're still looking for visuals, but Yoga Journal's website offers quite a bit of information about most poses as well as a photo for each. You might try that! Here's a link to their pose page: http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/471_1.cfm
Good Luck!
