I just purchased both DVDs, the Mayo Clinic one and the Yoga for Stress Relief. Both are quite different. Last night I tried the Mayo Clinic one and found it to be quite easy. Relaxing and simple. But they don't tell you beforehand that you need some blocks, a strap, and some blankets. I used what I had at hand (some pillows) and that seemed fine. Overall it was relaxing and easy to do.
I watched parts of the Stress Relief one afterwards and it is a completely different routine. They have several digestion-related options, IBS being one of them. I watched the one for overall digestion and the one for IBS. Most of the poses/postures were quite different from the Mayo Clinic one. maybe it is a different type of yoga? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know. This one seems a little more difficult, not hard, but you need to be more flexible with this one to execute the poses "correctly." I'm sure you can do them as best as you can, but there is a lot of stretching involved. It seems good as well. Just surprising that none of the poses were the same for both videos, maybe that's a good thing for switching off between routines?

The stress relief one leans more towards restorative yoga which is more stretching and mat work. It's quite blissful to just slow down that way. The Mayo Clinic is a Hatha Flow sequence. The stress relief DVD has a flow routine - I think it's the evening revival. Personally I prefer the stress relief DVD as there's more on there. I also found the mayo clinc's diet advice quite funny - the nutritionist looks like a rabbit in the headlights in front of the camera and busily suggests a breakfast of bran flakes and strawberries.

I don't intend on watching any part of the Mayo Clinic video aside from the yoga portion. I think that portion is good, the stress relief one is quite interesting because it allows you to choose from a variety of routines. The thing I don't know is if the other routines aid in digestion or not.

In terms of relieving stress the other routines on the stress dvd would. I know my stomach always feels good after doing a routine.

Those of you who have been using the DVD, would you recommend it? I'm thinking of getting it but don't really want to spend $20 if it doesn't really help.
