Hi there! traveling again. i actually live in bermuda, but i am originally from california. my husband is from new york, so i spend time traveling to los angeles, brooklyn, and we were just on vacation in boston, where we are hoping to move next year (after being in bermuda for 6 years). i am ok traveling- i get a little digestive upset but i think that is mostly because i am scared of flying and work myself up- even though i fly all the time! i get anxious and to me that translates to digestive issues, but it's not too bad. typical diet- hm. well, i often have oatmeal with banana for breakfast, or some toast/english muffin with some type of nut butter or coconut butter. usually some kind of green smoothie as a snack; i eat lots of lentils, beans, nuts and seeds. tonight i am making chickpea tacos for dinner! how about you?

Must be nice to live in Bermuda! You have lived in some interesting states, California, New York. Does your husband's work move you around a bit? I have heard the New England area is gorgeous. I have not been there but maybe one day.
For some reason, travel hasn't bothered me much. I don't fear flying, but I am not a good car person. Too boring and long.
My breakfast is usually a green drink, smoothie, or some oats and fruit. Lunch is usually some kind of salad, or a nut-butter sandwich. In the winter it is soups or stews. Dinner is usually a higher protein meal, with tofu, quinoa, beans, nuts, seeds, etc. I love fruit but it doesn't love me. It gives me awful heartburn. Something I have discovered lately is grilled fruit. I love it and it does not bother the upper GI. On the weekends and during the boring, long winters is when I try many new recipes and experiment alot. I have so many fav websites from great veggie authors.
All in all, I think my diet is fantastic. I occasionally have a bit of high cacao chocolate, but I don't make it a habit. And on occasion I will have a really good cup of coffee from Starbucks, but that also irritates the upper GI, so not often.
I have been to the beach this summer, but I think for early fall I am going to do the week-long McDougal program. I love John McDougal! Not only is he a vegan but a very intelligent MD. Luv him. If finances hold up, and I can take the time off work, I plan on attending. So, I will let you know.
Chat with you later.
