Hey all- ive recently been making homeade baked potato chips- my only question is- can i like put these thing in a baggie and take it to work? Or do i have to eat them like on the spot, will they get bad if i dont? Heres how i make them: I take a potato, wash it, skin it, slice it into thin pieces. Then I spray a plat with ff pam spray and then place the slices of potato on the plate, and salt them. I then put the plate into the microwave for about 3-4 minutes- periodically flipping the potato slices every minute or so. Once semi-browned nad crisp, I take them out and eat. mmm

Hey Lyndeigh, Another great thing to do with potatoes is to slice them and spray pam on a George Foreman grill and add a little spice to them (we like chili powder). Grill for about 15 minutes and they are SO GOOD!!!
They taste like hashbrowns that are really bad for you, but are totally fat free.
I don't know if you have a George Foreman grill or not, but I highly recommend one. It makes everything taste awesome and cooks really healthy

I love my George Foreman grill. By far the best purchase I have ever made. I haven't tried cooking potatoes on it like that but will. They sound delicious.

Hi Lyndeigh, I don't know why they wouldn't last to take with you. I personally like Baked Lays but for baked sweetpotato chips I make my own with this funny little micro-chip maker Chip maker that I've had for years. The only problem with this gizmo is that you need to use quite large sized sweet potatoes or they shrink while cooking in the microwave and fall thru the slits. Other than that, I've made swt. potatoe chips and had them for many, many weeks. I'd think the same would be true for white potatoes as long as all the moisture has been removed from them.
