I bought some Soy Ice Cream at a HFS the other day. Even though I had it in a ice chest with a ton of ice in it, it was completly melted when I got home. This has been the first I have ever gotten Soy Ice Cream so I don't know what it taste like. Will it taste different since it was melted completly?? Does it lose it's texture? I dunno it doesn't taste all that great to me but I am wondering if it melting was the cause.

What kind of soy "ice cream" was it? You must live a LONG way from HFS if it melted with all that ice!

It freezes as much as regular ice cream. I just got back from the health food store, where I bought my usual truck-load of Soy Dream Mocha Fudge. I just put the "ice cream" in a store paper bag, no cooler, no ice. We stopped on the way home briefly, and then drove 30 miles back home. When we got home, it was still completely frozen. I like my "ice cream" soft, so I miked it for 30 seconds. Ooooooooooohhhhh........ I SOOOO have a happy tummy! And the mocha tasted just like an espresso-stand mocha latte supremo! Mmmmmmmm.

If yours didn't taste very good, I'm gonna blame the "ice cream" that you chose. Don't let that discourage you from trying other brands. There are so many different kinds out there, and, while I love mocha fudge, I also like strawberry swirl and plain vanilla. However, green tea is awful, and I won't go anywhere near "Rice Dreams". Ew.

You just have to do a taste test. Buy different kinds in small cartons and try them all at once. It's great fun!

Gee... think I need another small scoop .....

Yup I got the Soy Mocha Fudge because after all the raves you have given it I just had to try it out myself. I really like coffee myself especially the drinks at Starbucks.

It was like 3 hrs away. We have only Rice Dream and Green Tea Soy ice cream where I live. Maybe it wasn't very frozen to begin with and thats why it melted....I dunno but I got the Mocha Fudge and plain Vanilla. I think the Vanilla got some water in it and thats why it doesn't taste that great.

O well, I will have to try again!

. . . how'd you like the Mocha Fudge? Don't tease us like this! Talk to us, Girlfriend!

You didn't like the vanilla? Really? Gee, I like it a lot -- but not as much as mocha fudge. I'm gonna try the vanilla in my next smoothie. And I think I'm gonna follow Heather's advice and try peaches with it too. Tomorrow morning.

Oooh, it sounds SOOOO yummy!

Well, I really liked the Mocha Fudge but I had to throw away the vanilla cause the cardboard top sunk into the icecream and let alot of water in. Tasted like cardboard...it was pretty nasty. Vanilla is normally my favorite flavor so I am goin to have to try it again!

Peaches sounds awsome with it. I love my ice cream with bananas and blueberries. YUM!
