Are we allowed to eat game hens?
I've never had one, but I thought for poultry we could only eat the white meat of chicken or turkey. When you have a game hen, isn't that dark meat too?

We are supposed to eat the white meat of the bird. I prefer the dark; the white is oftentimes too dry for me. Don eats the white, I eat the dark.
I'm a bad girl.

I think Gamehens would be fine and we have some at work 3 for $5.00 and I wanted to try them. I going to try your recipe and give it a go. We use to eat game hens quite a bit when I was young, mmmm.. sounds good. Thanks BEV

See page 26 of "The First Year." Poultry dark meat and skin are to be avoided because of the high fat content; they're triggers. However, that doesn't mean we have to completely eliminate them from our diet, we just have to eat them in small quantities.

Unless even the smallest amount triggers an attack. This is an individual thing - like a lot of IBS traits.

guess I'll give it a try and see what happens... heck, how big is the hens leg anyway? Like two bites?
