I have a lemon bar recipe that calls for 1/3 cup butter.Do you think using some applesauce would ruin the texture/taste in order to cut down the fat?

This probably isn't want you want to hear, but you'll never know until you try! I'm never sure about how that will work with a particular recipe until I take a chance and make it. If it turns out well will you please share it?? I love lemon!!

Hey there, pretty Joan!
I wonder if you could substitute 1/2 and 1/2? Half fat with half applesauce? What about using canola oil for the fat part? Would that work? Or what about Soy Garden for the fat?
Yeah, I'm like Kree -- if it turns out, I want the recipe! I LUUUUUV lemon bars! Oooh, baby, OH!
