This is a really good recipe for turkey sloppy joe's. These can be made ahead and frozen for a quick meal.
2 pounds ground turkey 1 medium onion, chopped 14-16 sandwich buns, split 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 1 tsp. dried parsley 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
In a skillet, brown ground turkey and onion. Remove from heat; drain.
Stir remaining ingredients into ground turkey mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve on hamburger buns. Serves 14-16.
What I did was instead of baking it, I portioned it out into dinner servings for two. I used 1/3 cup for each sandwich. I froze enough for 4 sandwiches in a bag. I thawed it out when I was ready to eat it and heated it up on a low heat in a sauce pan and then served it on the buns. They are really good.
Enjoy!

Thanks for this, gizmo! My husband and I like quick meals, especially things we can prepare ahead and freeze. And we love using ground turkey instead of ground beef, so this is really perfect for us. I look forward to trying it out myself.
