Would it be safe to make a turkey burger (or TVP burger) with a lactose free type cheese such as soy cheese or rice cheese? Anyone have any good recipes for one? Thanks.

I eat them all the time. I also make turkey meatloaf, you could find some recipes on the recipes archives.

As linisue said, there are a bunch of burger recipes in the Recipe Index. Look under "Main Dishes" and they're all listed as "Burger - whatever". When you find one you like you can put cheese on it just like any other burger.
Two turkey burgers I really like - although I don't think I'd like cheese on either one - are:
Greek Chicken Burgers - I make these with ground turkey and serve them with Lemon Rice
Peking Burgers
HTH.

I buy the JENNIE O ALL WHITE MEAT Turkey Burgers & they are SO good.. I grill up some fresh mushrooms and put them on top since I haven't found a Cheese that I like yet. I have tried veggie cheese,Soy cheese etc and a few others and they were YUCK! So I just haven't had any cheese in a year
