I have also heard that grapes can have a laxative affect if you eat enough, but the skin is also IF and hard to digest.

Just about any fruit or vegetable can be eaten if 1. only a small amount 2. after eating soluble fiber 3. when the gut isn't already hyper-sensitive
I can only handle a few grapes as a dessert. Grapes and melons are my worst fruits. But as I said I can eat a few and do it after soluble fiber.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
