The first time I stirred the sugar waiting for it to turn caramel color until the water had all boiled off and it crystalized in the pot. I threw that out and tried again - stopping just before it looked like it would begin crystalizing, but it hadn't changed color. I poured it in a pan and it never hardened. Any candy makers out there with advice? I'll try it and let you know. First I have to find peppermint oil - health food store I assume?
