In Heather's book - there is a recipe for Chocolate Applesauce Bread. It calls for 1 cup of sugar - and that is a lot of sugar. If you were to use sweetened applesauce instead of unsweetened applesauce, how much sugar would you then need to use? Think it would be better to get the sweetness from the applesauce instead of the sugar. What do you think? Anne

I made it this weekend with Motts organic unsweetened apple sauce and a 1/3 cup of sugar and it was fine for em. Infact I had family over and they liked it.

If you're using sweetened apple sauce, the sweetness is still coming from sugar, it's just mixed into the apple sauce rather than coming from your pantry. I'd use unsweetened, and just use less sugar.
