So the recipe calls for 1 egg white or egg beaters. So my question is, which would be better? Original Egg beaters? or the specificly *egg white* version??

... is to use EggBeaters (just the one T + water). But, I seldom buy EggBeaters because they're so much more expensive than whole eggs, so I generally just use one egg white. I do find that you have to stir the heck out of the batter if you're using egg whites, otherwise it will taste "eggy".
Be careful, though, this is super-addicting!!!

Thank you so much! I always want to make desserts, however I am the only one who has IBS in my family and am worried about them going bad before I can eat it all! I can't wait to try this recipe!

I was desperate tonight for something sweet, and I couldn't find anything that would be quick and easy. Finally, I thought I'd just check the recipe index to see if there was anything chocolatey and quick, and I found this! All I can say is...
I LOVE YOU CASEY!!!!!!!

The scary part is, this isn't the first time I've had undying love professed over a recipe... I got a marriage proposal once after the guy had some banana bread I made. Hah!
All goofing around aside, I'm so glad you enjoyed!

That's an understatement... I ate a half serving the first day, and a full 1/2 cup serving yesterday. I'm about to go make another one now! I am completely and totally in heaven. I have even called my mom to tell her how excited I am to have a safe, fast, chocolatey dessert to eat! Now I guess I should call my best friend and tell her she's been bumped by you... (hee hee)

I have a box of cake mix and a box of jello pudding, but it's not instant pudding. Would this recipe still work?

Oh thanks for replying. I was JUST about to mix them up and give it a try.. but I'll wait until I go get some instant pudding mix. Good thing I didn't waste a whole box of cake mix lol. Thanks
