Gosh, there's so much you can do with turkey ham, and yes, I have a million recipes. I'd have to know what kind of thing you're looking for. Turkey Tetrazzini? Turkey Pot Pie? Turkey Strata? Ooooh, turkey strata! Hey! I haven't made that in ages. It's like a quiche and calls for milk (so I use soy milk). It also has broccoli in it (which is cooked VERY well) and cheese (which is of course soy cheese).
If you like pastries, the turkey pot pie is excellent. I roll out my own dough, but you can use the refrigerated kind if you prefer.
The tetrazzini is high in fat, but I just recently found a low-fat variety which I haven't tried yet.
Let me know what kind of recipe you want, Mrs.B.

This is a simple one. 1 tube reduced fat crescents 8 small pieces turkey ham (can be cut smaller) 8t. or less soy cream cheese
separate rolls, dot with a little cream cheese and put some ham on that. Bake for 13-15 min. Makes 8. They are actually better than they sound. DH really likes them (he doesn't know it is soy cream cheese).

That tastes better than ground turkey. It is excellent in spaghetti and cooked with rice and chicken stock.

Looking for anything Yummy! Tamara, your recipe sounds great, maybe I'll try that one tonight. Bevvy, the Strata sounds really good if you won't mind sharing that one, the others sound good too! What ever you have! I'm not too crazy for ground Turkey the taste just gets me, but I love Turkey Ham. I end up eating a lot of Chicken Breast so I thought maybe I could make something with Turkey ham for a change. Thanks

I'm not sure I can find this where I live! I'm kind of in the booneys, don't cha know! Is that usually fresh ground in the meat department? That's a good idea though I probably would like it better and the spices would drown out that gross taste.

I just found a recipe for this online (eatturkey.com) for homemade kind: Homemade Turkey Italian Sausage
Yield: 1 pound
Ethnicity: Italian Meal Type: Main Course, Entrée Product Type: Ground Turkey Dish Type: Sausage 1 Pound GROUND TURKEY, cold 2 drops liquid smoke 2 Teaspoons salt 1-1/4 Teaspoons dried sage leaves 1 Teaspoon sugar 1/2 Teaspoon ground ginger 1 Teaspoon poultry seasonings 1/2 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/8 Teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/8 Teaspoon anise seed, crushed 1/4 Teaspoon fennel seed, crushed 1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 Teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/2 Teaspoon dried oregano leaves Pinch coriander Thoroughly mix all ingredients together. Based on recipe usage, form into patties or links. Cover and refrigerate for several hours to allow the flavors to permeate. Proceed with preparation according to intended recipe usage. When you use ground Turkey what kind do you use? Do you use the really expensive one that has only 1 or 2% Fat or the one with a little more fat in it(not sure on the %)?

I believe I get the stuff that has 7% fat. That seems expensive enough most of the time. Has always worked fine I've never felt the need to shell out for the 99 % fat free stuff.

I get Jennio turkey store ground turkey at Sam's Club. I don't get the ground turkey breast but the regular ground turkey. As long as the meal is low in fat you are alright with the regular ground turkey. Also the sausage isn't lean breast either. Each link has 10 grams of fat, but I eat less than one to one link (mashed up) and so that is 10g usually for the whole dinner at most.

The tube contains 13g fat per serving. The turkey store regular ground is 8 and the turkey store ground breast is 1.5.

French bread would work okay if you could find loaves big enough. I've used whole wheat, but white bread works best because it makes prettier donuts. My donut cutter fits a slice of white bread perfectly, whereas I'm sure it wouldn't fit a slice of French bread. The donuts -- and the donut holes -- make a decorative top, and then you cut the squares according to the donut size -- very pretty for a party. You may not be able to find French bread big enough for a donut cutter. Oh, and don't forget, the crusts that you cut off the bread (around the donuts) are squeezed into the bottom of the dish, forming a bottom "crust", so there's no waste.
It's a good dish; I like it very much, my old stand-by! By the way, I have used turkey ham since I posted this, and it works every bit as well as dead pig, if not better.

Are you sure the 7% Ground Turkey is safe? I have butterball 7%, it seems obviously low in fat but it does not look white, it has a deceivingly dark complextion. Yah or no? I'm having a diffcult time figuering out if this is dark, white, or safe meat to eat. Thanks.

Unless something says it is breast only it has dark meat in it. Yet for most people the total fat for the meal is what counts. You have to be more careful if you eat some dark meat poultry because the fat grams add up so much faster than breasts, but it can be tolerated after a while if put into the right meal. When I use dark meat I don't add any other fat or maybe a dab of Smart Balance on my rice or veggies. With Pam fat free cooking is possible and that is what you need if you add the fattier poultry parts. *when using whole chickens/turkeys or legs always remove fat and skin.
