Smart Ones makes an angel hair marinara that's completely safe. It has zucchini and mushrooms and is very tasty. Honestly, that's the only "normal" frozen dinner I've found that's completely safe. Most contain dairy products of some sort and/or are too high in fat.

That said, though, there are tons of safe frozen dinners you can get at the health food store or natural foods section. Amy's makes a bunch of them including shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, soy cheese pizza, macaroni and soy cheese, etc. There are also tons of other brands out there. I recently got a really tasty looking moroccan dinner made my Moosewood that I can't wait to try. Just watch out for dairy and high fat contents and you should be golden. Also, some natural foods have too much IF (i.e. whole wheat flour), so be careful of that, too.

JB...an excellent set of initials indeed!

I do well with Smart Ones turkey tenderloins and green beans (though I know green beans don't agree with all of us), the one Kree mentioned and the shrimp marinara when tomato sauce and I are friends, the dragon shrimp, and the chicken lo mein. The Szechuan chicken is also okay, if I recall.

For Amy's, I've recently discovered the tamale pie, though it does have beans in it. It's really good.

Barbie turned me on to Lean Cuisine Grilled Chicken with Penne Pasta and Veggies. Barbie removes all the veggies (bad, girl, BAD!), but I eat 'em all. It's absolutely delicious and very satisfying.

Also, I like Gorton's Grilled Salmon, but it contains MSG, so if you're sensitive, forget it.

Crave Macaroni & Cheese, do ya? Try Amy's Soy Macaroni & Cheese. It totally satisfies that craving (betcha can't eat just one package though!).

I like the Lean Cuisine Chicken Florentine, also, and it doesn't bother me.

BTW, I do eat the carrots but take out the broccoli!!!

The percentage of fat in your entire meal has to be under 25%. Look on the TV dinner package and find the number of calories. Then, determine the percentage of fat. Here's how: web page

Thanks for the info. Really helpful! What moroccan did you find? I immediately went and found Amy's. Makes my life easier for now.

Thanks for the info. The tamale pie agreed with me. Could not find the Shrimp Marinara nor chicken lo mein. All the others were great and made my life less stressful at the moment.

Honestly, I've yet to find any that are both safe, and taste good to me. I prefer to cook stove top from scratch whenever possible.

JB, you REALLY got my head swirling! This is an old post --I think of yours actually -- and a duplicative of a thread in the Diet Board: web page

You're playing with my mind, right?

Sorry don't mean to confuse anyone. I just don't know all this, I'm new to this and confused, learning, trying.
