Does anyone know if there is something to substitute yogurt with that doesn't contain soy or milk? I've heard there is something like rice sour cream and even rice cheese, but what are the brands? Where can I find them?

Hi Mags, I'm just curious, how is the fat in the sour cream you use? I've had trouble finding low-fat subsitutes in the store, and usually just resort to using soy yogurt instead.

Hi Kree - actually, I've never used the rice sour cream, just the rice cheese. I think if I needed to sub sour cream in a recipe, I'd just use the plain soy yogurt also. Next time I go to Whole Foods though, I will check the fat on rice sour cream for you.

Please check on it. I know Soyco carries a rice butter that is suppose to be lower in fat. Their website doesn't list the nutritional information. Their rice products may be lower in fat than the soy ones. Of course taste might be another thing. I love thier rice cheese better than most soy ones.
