Hi Rachel,
Yes, I made them; those are mine in the picture in my post. They're yummy! Hubby, who claims he doesn't like chocolate, keeps diving into them.
I will have to say this, though: each biscotti is two points. That's a lot for only one biscotti. I can have one serving of the WW Snicker Style Dessert Bars or one serving of the WW Chocolate Layer Cake (both recipes I posted here) for the same number of points, and those are much more satisfying per point.
The WW program is working real well for me because I can substitute a lot of their ingredients and go online to get the point calculations. It's just SOOO do-able! Not to mention that the food is fabulous -- and very healthy. Their ZERO POINT vegetable soup is incredible, and I can eat as much as I want.
..... um..... what was your question?....

Just a warning to those very sensative to fat. With all those hazelnuts, this one is well above the 25% limit. But darn they look good!

Kree, I gotta tell ya what I did. Ooooh, baby!
I took one of the biscotti, put it between some wax paper, and pounded it with my rolling pin until it was all crumbs. Then I sprinkled it on top of one serving of WW SNICKERS STYLE DESSERT BARS!
OMG, to die for..... !
I LOVE this WW program; it is SOOOO do-able for me!

Lol, Bev, that sounds sinfully delicious!! You're definitely a woman after my own heart. If I were on a diet that's just the sort of things I'd be eating.

Let's see if I'm reading this correctly....
The recipe makes 80 biscotti, and it says 40 servings, so a serving is 2 biscotti, right? The nutritional information is "per serving", so that means the 2 points is total for 2 biscotti... or the cookies are 1 point apiece.
I'm not doing WW, of course, but I am counting calories right now, and I'm definitely trying these, maybe tonight - anything that's got 75 calories total for 2 cookies is a-ok by me!

That's AMAZING! How come I couldn't figure that out on my own? DOH!
Wow, I'm gonna have to go into my online points calculator and re-figure all my weekly points. I CAN HAVE TWO BISCOTTIS!!!! WAH-HOO!!!!
You just made my day, you know that? Girl, YOU ROCK!
You're makin' 'em tonight? Really? Well, be sure to let them COOL before eating; unlike most cookies, they're MUCH better cold and "firm" like biscottis are supposed to be. AND -- don't tell anyone -- I LOVE them dipped in my morning coffee! Shhhhhhh.....

Yes, these are so good that they deserve their own made-up word! Tee hee!!
I just made them today and they ROCK! I didn't have hazelnuts - or nuts of any kind - and I was too lazy to go out and buy any, so I just made them without. I'm sure the flavor isn't as "rich", but they still taste like crispy brownies to me!
For anyone who's wondering, the hazelnuts contribute 542 TOTAL calories and 52.4g TOTAL fat to the ENTIRE recipe. You could reduce the amount if you're concerned about the fat percentage (but I wouldn't be). Omitting them entirely makes the cookies 61.45 calories & 1.69g fat per serving (2 cookies).

Why wouldn't you be worried about the fat percentage? You've got me all paranoid that I am doing my math wrong.
75 calories, 3g fat per serving
3 x 9 = 27
27 / 75 = 36% calories from fat
Which seems pretty high to me.
Without the hazelnuts and using the modified calories/fat you just posted, it comes out to 25% calories from fat, which seems much better.
Of course, maybe you guys only eat one or two cookies after a nice low-fat meal ... I have a tendency to shovel them in late at night on an empty stomach.
