Hi, I'm new to this board, but not to IBS, have been suffering for 18 years, and would love now to try Heather's diet, my problem however is vegetables are my trigger foods, everytime I try to introduce them I suffer immensly, the same goes for fruit, so losing weight is just impossible.

Have you read the guidelines on how to make IF veg and fruit safer? And have you tried SF veg.
And that diesn't make weight loss impossible btw! It's just a question of calorie intake compared to expenditure.

I have the same problem and was going to ask the same question. I found this board over the summer but are just getting to the cooking part. I have read that several people can eat baby food so I was thinking of getting a baby food chopper (I tried mine but it didn't it finely copped enough). Maybe that would help?

I have problems with any vegetables, SF or IF. If I take 3 Beanos before I eat, I have far less trouble. If I still gas up, I drink some fennel tea and that pretty much does the trick.

Ditto. So, I take Beano AND IT WORKS!!! Heck, I've taken more than 10 at once before because I've been so paranoid.
And, IT WORKED! When you take it as directed, i.e. 1 tablet for every 1/2 c. IT WORKS!!! No joke.
Super-Extra Strength Gas-X also works for relieving Gas pressure.
Ditto for yoga poses. Indeed there is hope for those who are galactose-enzymatically challenged.

It's great. Go for it. It is totally in sync. with Heather's Chop/mash/puree advice. It makes eating veggies much more painless, even pleasurable. Trust me, it's very haute cuisine and hardly babyfood. Heck, I've even been known to add my SFS to it.
