looking for bourbon/rum ball recipe, anyone?

i love the things, but never knew what was in them, so i have no idea if they are safe or not- grandma used to make them and she said there was no baking involved- that works for me! LOL any one have a recipe? thanks

Depending on how sensitive you are to various things, it might not be safe for you. For starters, alcohol can be a trigger, and since they're not baked, the alcohol doesn't cook off. Also, the recipe I have contains pecans (IF and fat) and chocolate Nilla wafers, which I believe contain dairy.

That said, I've always been ok with them as long as I only eat a couple, and never on an empty stomach. They're just a little too rich for me otherwise.

I will dig out my recipe later.
