I made..

Linguine with White Clam Sauce

and it was really really yummy! I also used chicken broth following melissas orders and the only thing I added was some lemon juice.

YUMMY

I made TessLouise's Chicken and Artichokes and it was delicious. I cut the red pepper flakes in half and served it over linguini rather than orzo.

Once I got into the recipe, though, I was surprised at how much oil there is in it: 1/4 cup for the dressing plus 2 Tablespoons to brown the chicken. I did the fat math on this and came up with:

For the recipe without pasta: 1678 total calories, 885 from fat (53%)
For the recipe with 1/2 pound of linguine (what the recipe suggests): 2478 total calories, 925 from fat (37%)
For the recipe with 1 pound of linguine (the way I serve it): 3278 calories, 965 from fat (29%)

Even the last number is over the 25% maximum suggested by Heather. The next I make this, I'm going to replace the 1/4 cup of oil in the dressing with chicken broth and/or some liquid from the artichokes. For that version of the recipe with 1 pound of linquine, I will end up with 2798 total calories, 445 of them from fat (16%).

I made PB brownies . They were too good and I could not keep DH away from them. He ate half the pan by morning.

I made pulled chicken sandwiches except I used regular bbq sauce. It was absolutely fantastic! I will be making it again, and making MUCH MORE this time because it was eaten so quickly. And next time I think I'll make my own BBQ sauce ala khyricat because I don't really know how the HFCS is affecting me.

So, yes. YUMMY recipe! Do make!
