furikaki

I found the furikaki but don't know when to add it to rice. I tried adding a tsp to the raw rice, but it didn't have much flavor. Anyone else tried it. There's no directions on the jar. Here's the orinal post: Something to jazz up plain rice. (sorry I'm having a problem today with the link) "If you like Asian food you can get seaweed/sesame sprinkles called furikaki - lots of different varieties available. That plus a bit of soy sauce is yummy."

i have-- i like it very much. but i eat it with cooked rice (i add it after cooking.) but i love the subtle flavoring of japanese food.

Yeah, I cook the rice first, and then sprinkle on the furikaki after I put the warm rice in a bowl. It's definitely a safe staple for me when I want something savory rather than sweet.
