Question for moderators - posting versus hyperlinking

I have a recipe I want to post that's from another Website. I can just put in a hyperlink to the Website, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that y'all preferred the actual recipe to be posted in case the original Website moved or disappeared. I can't figure out where I could have read that, so...
Would you prefer I put in the actual recipe or just the hyperlink?

The actual recipe is best, but you can reference where you got it from with a link. The problem is that later on down the road if someone wants the recipe, it may not be there anymore. You can just copy it and paste it, so you don't have to retype the whole thing.
