I have severe C-IBS with some pain/cramps but mostly bloating, gas and majorrrrrr C!

Anyone have any opinions as to whether this cereal would be safe? It contains, in order listed on ingredients label:

soy protein concentrate
soy grits
wheat gluten [I don't have any problems with gluten, thank goodness.....]
maltodextrin
rice flour
corn bran
canola oil
stevia leaf extract
caramel color
rosemary extract

Per 1/2 cup:
Total fat: 1.5gm
Total carbs: 12gms
Total fiber: 5gms
Total protein: 14gms

The only thing that struck me as a potential problem is the corn bran... but even then, it might be fine for you. It's not a "trigger", it's just insoluble fiber, and some people tolerate it better than others. Unfortunately, you just never know until you try it!

If you find it gives you problems, but you really want to give it another try anyway, try having a slice of white toast beforehand, or a good dose of your SFS at the very least, to "cushion" the bran a bit more. But personally, I'd give it a shot.
