Need help w/newsletter recipe!

I've been trying to print out the recipes for the Chicken Pot Pie and the Banana Buckwheat Pancakes from past newsletter issues, but they only partially print out. I see everything on the screen, but it does not print it out that way. It's like my paper needs to be 2 inches wider. I've changed my printer settings and my page setups so many different ways that I'm lost.

I had this problem in the beginning too.

You should have printer settings that you can bring up on your computer... in there, you should be able to change the width so it all fits. Good luck.

I just tried it too and I got 4 pages with only parts of the colums on each page... (I'll let Heather know about this, maybe she can help us out)

For now, I would just highlight, copy, and paste the recipe section of the newsletter and then paste it into a new word document. Then just print that new document.

After I highlighted and went to use "cut", those options (cut &paste) were grayed out so I couldn't use them. My DH tried to help but it didn't work. Thanks.
I'll keep trying--

but it didn't work. The different ways I tried to change the margins only seemed to make the preview worse. Thanks.

After reading your posting, I decided to try and print
this as I get all my recipes from here. I have had minimal
problems with printing and margins.
This it what I did maybe it will help.
1. I highlighted only the ingredients section of the recipe
2. Right click on mouse to copy this
3. Opened Wordprocessing to new document
4. Right click on mouse to paste into new document
5. Went back to reicpe (I had minimized the window so I could go back and forth between the two)
6. Highlighted directions
7. Right click on mouse to copy
8. Opened document that had recipe on it and right click
on mouse to paste the rest of the recipe.
9. Went through recipe and deleated some double spacing and
introduction to the recipe so it would fit on one page.
Worked for me, hope it will work for you.
Good luck!

Thank you so much. I am happy to help.
I live on and for the recipes posted here.
They have helped me tremendously.
Happy weekend and I just might have to make
this recipe as I have leftover chicken.

I printed it out by highlighting the entire recipe. Then go to File - Print. In the box that pops up you should see an option that you can check off to print only the selection (i.e. what you have highlighted). Then just click on ok/Print.

Oh YES...that is how it works... last night I was not highlighting before clicking print so it would not LET me check the "section" circle...... THANKS!!

but instead of using the "cut' option... copy it and paste it and then edit what you want.

Still don't know what I was doing wrong. All of your tips made it so easy. Next time I won't waste all that time. If something doesn't work, I'll post for "help" right away.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

My husband is the general manager here for our local Harley dealership! He used to have a Sportster and a Buell, now he just has the Buell.

I'm assuming you have A Dyna of some sort because of your name!

Thanks for asking. Don't get me started on motorcyles b/c I'll bore you to death. That's neat that your husband is a g/m. I'd love to get a job at our local H-D dealer. I have a 2000 Dyna Super Glide T-Sport and my DH has 2001 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. We go would go on trips during the summer on them and have a blast, before my "condition" got worse.
When I met my DH, Ken, in 1973 we both had Suzuki's. We got married in 1974 and had 2 girls and sold both bikes by 1979 (needed the money and never thought we would be riding again). But in 1996, Ken bought a $20 raffle ticket, for a FXSTSB Bad Boy from our local Volunteer fire dept, and won it!! That was so exciting. The winning number was based on the Hoosier Lottery drawing number for Saturday, June 29th (the very night of the day we buried his father-who had also bought a ticket). It was surreal, and the guys at the fire station went nuts, b/c at first they thought Ken's dad had won. That bike was stolen in Oct. 2000 and was replaced with the Ultra Classic. He still misses the Bad Boy very much. Especially since there was so much sentimental value attached to it.
The last 2 summers we haven't ridden very much b/c of my "condition", but now after finding this site and my GI, I'm veeeerry hopeful for this summer.
Sorry for rattling on....
