Hi Casey -
I made your receipe for the crab cakes last night and they were wonderful! The only thing I missed was a horseradish dipping sauce for them - any suggestions on what I could dip them in next time?

You know, I have no idea - I've never had a sauce with them when I've made them. Actually, I saw a recipe once for "oriental style" devilled eggs that had a dollop of a mixture of wasabi paste and mayo on top. Maybe try something like that, using fat-free mayo? You'd have total control over how "hot" it turns out, since I don't know how you handle the hot stuff.

I have a recipe from Cooking Light with a yummy wasabi mayo but I can't find it now since their website sucks!!! I can never find what I want and to think I was going to throw my magazines out! Anyway it was mayo, wasabi powder and soy sauce for sure and it was put on a salmon sandwich I thought.
Ok I found it. It wasn't Cooking Light
1c mayo
4t soy sauce
1 1/2t sugar
2t lemon juice
2t wasabi paste

...very Thai and delicious! It goes perfectly with crab cakes.
Or sometimes I just use Hellmann's extra light mayo.
