Major pun alert! I have been looking for dairy free chocolate chips and yesterday I begrudgingly went into Walmart for something. They had them. I bought 3 bags. That is of course the sweet part. The bitter part is I hate Walmart like crazy! I would rather have a root canal than go in there! Why did it have to be Walmart?!
So today I made my trail mix monster cookies with chocolate chips! Yum. They are the best. Perfect for going ice skating or other winter activities. Fill and warm you up! Trail mix cookies they are great with chocolate chips, pecans, almonds, craisins and raisins. Not for dieters but good for winter calorie needs.

That's too funny, Tamara! I feel the same way about Walmart since there are some crazy drivers in the parking lots around here.

meijer brand makes some.. but I second the feelings about walmart- scary place that and too far away- its 40 minutes from home at least and for what- a mess?? not worth it.. I have multiple meijers, and a kmart and multiple target's closer...

Oh, we don't have Meijers. (I hate K-mart too!) The ones at my store are cocoa powder which is great but they only have mint/choc flavor. I have asked for regular flavor and will keep asking.

We have a super Wal-Mart so I can do all of my household shopping in one stop. I love that...I like to sew and do crafts(in my spare time ha ha) and can buy most of my stuff there.

Wal-Mart is like my one stop shopping place!

I thought this one was a super walmart but they didn't have fruits or vegetables! I needed bananas. Keeping our family in bananas is pretty hard, we eat about 20 a week.

They don't seem to agree with me. Chocolate in any form that is not FF powder appears to be a no no for me. I am very sensitive to fat and 1 handful of chips after a meal makes my stomach get icky. Pity me please!

I'm pitying. Poor you!

I can throw a few carob chips into my quick breads, but I haven't gotten brave enough to really try chocolate again yet. I'm just betting my tummy won't like the idea. Phooey.

Is it the fat or the chocolate? Has anyone else tried these? new

I got so excited because I have to drive an hour away to get the soy chips and I bought a bag at the local WalMart -- now I am afraid to try and use them.

I can handle a few chips in something else that is otherwise safe... but not large quanitites.. I do mix them with marshmellows- melt 1 cup marshmellows and a few chips with a small amount of water and make a wonderful quick topping/icing for treats...

It isn't so much the fat as the chocolate liquour I think. The chips made with cocoa powder have 4 grams of fat too same as the Sam's brand but the cocoa powder ones are fine. I never indulge in these, I have a handful after a meal.
