Does this cake really have NO flour in it? Has anyone made it? It sounds yummy.

GF = Gluten Free..or no wheat or barley or rye flour.
Of course there are a lot of gluten free flours (not wheat) to bake with but that's another story.
BTW, don't forget the sauce for the top. It just makes it so special. It's ok without, but I prefer a sauce whether it be raspberry or cherry or another berry you like.

actually several of my favorite pre-ibs cake recipes- which I want ot play with and adapt are flourless... especially chocolate things! a) I have relatives who are GF for health reasons- including my mother and b) they are wonderful for passover!

It's so funny. Last night as I was cooking dinner all of a sudden I realized what GF means! Glad to know my guess was correct.
2 ??s re this cake:
1) can eggbeaters be used instead of fresh eggs. I hate wasting the yolks.
2) can this cake be frozen?

2 ??s re this cake:
1) can eggbeaters be used instead of fresh eggs. I hate wasting the yolks. Sorry, it needs beaten egg whites. You can't beat Eggbeaters to form stiff peaks like you get with egg whites.
2) can this cake be frozen? I don't know. It never stayed around that long. I do refrigerate it though. I don't know why it wouldn't freeze ok. Why not try it? And let us know, ok?

You can try using Egg Beaters Egg Whites if you don't want to buy whole eggs.
