I'm going to make my Boss his FAVORITE kind of cookies for Christmas.... good ole Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies....... anyway... IF I was able to find a bunch of mini metal Christmas cookie cutters....could I place the cutters ON the cookie sheet, fill with the dough...and bake with the cutters left ON the sheet to make the shape?? Any other CHEAP ideas how to make them have Christmas shapes without doing sugar cutouts?

...but I guess it depends on the cutters!...won't cookie mixture hold it's shape?

another otpion- add more flour to the cookie dough.. it will hold its shape if its higher in flour and lower in fat proportionally... DH prefers them that way so I do it all the time...

I've actually heard of people doing this, and giving the cookies (cookie cutter and all), wrapped in pretty cellophane as gifts for co-workers, etc. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Yeah - last christmas I made fudge for people and put them in cookie cutters and decorated them and gave them as a whole wrapped up. It was really cute!

Thank you for your inquiry. The Copper Cutters were not designed for oven use, and for this reason we have not tested them in the oven. We would not recommend that you bake them in the oven, and doing so may cause discoloration of your cutters.
