I'm excited and scared! Instead of taking care of elderly people I'll be taking care of sick patients at the hospital. This is an Internal transfer for me.

I'll be working in Subacute Care and learning more nursing skills. After my training I'll become a CNA Tech. It is a good move and the training will only help make Nursing School easier when I start next Fall.

I have to give my notice at the Nursing Home today and will be very sad to leave my current unit. I love the residents and my co-workers are awesome to work with. I am hoping my next situation is just as good.

Good luck today! I know that can be really hard to do.
Congrats on the new job though!! It sounds great. I'm sure the people will be just as nice to work with.

I'm sure you will love your new job---and it sounds like it will be great experience! Good luck to you!

And how sweet of you and your husband to get your son a bird!

Well, I'm sorry for the old people, but happy for you and the new patients you'll have. Good nurses are SO important, so I know they'll be glad to have you! Congrats!

Not to derail the thread, but how's your headache doing?

Very sweet of you to ask. My head feels better today. Thank goodness. I am very tired because I couldn't sleep last night and my spirits are low today. I seem to be crying at the drop of a hat. I have a lot of stress and worries right now so I am sure it is all catching up to me. My husband is worried because I am always the strong, reasonable one.

Hope you are having a good day.

...not to mention that having a migraine is painful and exhausting! I'm glad your headache is better and I say have a good cry or two if you need to. Nobody should have to be strong and reasonable all the time.
