Hi,
Someone on the boards, I forgot who, said they used the accupressure wrist bands for nausea. I bought some and tried them out yesterday....didn't have nausea...but just wanted to see how they worked. Anyway, I had them on for about 5 minutes and they really seemed tight and a little uncomfortable. Left an imprint on my wrist when I took them off. Maybe that's the trick to make you think about being uncomfortable and forget about the nausea??? ha ha
My question is, are they supposed to be that tight? My wrists are little, too. I can't imagine how tight they would be on a man's wrist. Just wondering because I paid $10.00 for them and will take them back if they aren't supposed to be tight.

Barbie,
I borrowed one from a friend on a boating trip, and it wasn't tight. Can you stretch it out a bit?

Hey Barbie,
I had suggested them for nauseau in an earlier post. I've used them a fair bit, I used them for almost a week straight when I went on a cruise with my family...I kept throwing up the Gravol and they were the only thing that worked.
As I recall, mine were quite tight, although my wrists aren't really tiny. Let me tell you though, they were so tight that at the end of the cruise I had big imprints in my wrists and minor bruising, but it was worth it to have not been sick the whole time.
it's been awhile since I've bought any though...maybe they come in different sizes?
Good luck, Kelly

Hi Sis,
I used them on one of my cruises. I didn't get seasick, so maybe they worked. I DID get seasick on my first cruise -- which is why I bought the wristbands for the second.
I don't know how they work, but as I recall they weren't tight on me -- and I have HUGE wrists!

They work like gangbusters for me, and I have (seemingly) the world's worst case of motion-sickness-succeptibility. My understanding is that they have a little bead sewn into them that, if you position them correctly per the enclosed instructions, apply pressure to the accupressure point on your wrist that stops the nausea impulse. Yeah, they're a little tight (I have a small wrist too); they need to be to apply real pressure to the point, but I was totally willing to trade that for relief from motion sickness. I can read in the car with those things on!! I don't leave home without 'em.
