Another interview!

Just letting you all know that I have another interview tomorrow (Friday) at 2, so I need more of those great vibes you sent out last time! This one is for a reading teacher position in a little village I absolutely adore, so I'd love it if this position worked out. I am a little nervous b/c my IBS has been bothering me since yesterday and I'm still not feeling so great. I felt better when the lady called this morning but now I feel like a bloated whale again... it just has to happen when something important's coming up, doesn't it?? Anyway, I'm trying not to worry about it and just go with the flow. I'm still very excited... I've been waiting for this call!

It turned out to just be a screening interview, so it was VERY brief. I had been expected the whole deal with a panel of people so it was actually a little bit of a letdown. I thought it went pretty well... but it's been a week and a half and I haven't heard back yet. 
Thank you all, again!! Hopefully I'll get a job soon so I can stop bugging you!!

Kree, you've done this before, and you'll do it again. You are SOOOOO able to handle this with no problem. It's just the anticipation, that's all. Once you get in the interview and focus on the conversation, you'll forget about your tummy entirely. Isn't that what happened last time?

Hi girls. I'm back, and the interview went really well!! I just felt much better about it than the last one. I still wasn't feeling so hot this morning, but by the time I left I was almost normal, and I didn't even think about it during the interview. The woman who interviewed me (the middle school principle) was very nice and we seemed to hit it off pretty well. It turned out the job I was interviewing for was a 7-12 reading position, which I'm actually not certified for, but I told the woman that and she said we could work something out. After seeing how much elementary experience I had, though, she told me they also had some elem positions opening up and she was going to ask me a few questions for those too. Afterwards she said she thought I was better suited for the elem positions, so she asked me to come in for a 2nd interview with her and the elem principle next wednesday. Woohoo! Elem is where I'd prefer to be anyway. She even said there was a 4th grade opening, which is one of my favorite ages. Excuse me for going on and on like this, but I'm really psyched. I have a 2nd interview. Woohoo!!

Hey Kree,
That's awesome news! Interviews are always great when you've got a good feeling after you're done.
But...4th grade? wow, when I substitute taught for them it was hell! They had SO much energy. well it was fun, but just exhausting.
