As you guys know, all my pix are in storage somewhere. While packing today, I came across this old pic of me -- the only one that didn't make it to storage -- and I thought I'd share it with my friends. It's taken in Sausalito 15 years ago when I was first learning how to row.
Okay, you guys, now it's your turn!

This:
is the oldest photo I can find. It's on my dad's college friend's website. I'm in the middle in the tye dye. I would venture to say I'm around 15-17. I had that shirt for a long time, so I'm not exactly clear. With the long hair I think 17.

My parents have most of the really old ones, but this one is from 1995 when I ran an Amnesty International conference in Halifax. I'm in the white sweater in the back giving a workshop on letter writing technique.
Other than that the only other 'old' one I have is from when I lived in Calgary for a summer in 1997 and went hiking up mountains near Banff with my uncle and cousin:

You don't want to get me started posting old pictures. Really. We scanned bunches of them and burned them to a disc... oh... so many to choose from....
I choose 1990, just so you can laugh at my big hair and acid-washed jeans.
I was 15. On vacation in New Orleans. (And probably really upset because my hair was FLAT that day, haha.)

Man, you should have been in one of those teen movies... like the fifth Heather or something! Very cute!

I decided to pick one of the whole family. I'm the unhappy-looking little gal. I was about four.
And here I am at about age ten with THE BEST GLASSES EVER! Gotta love the 80s...sigh. Anyway, it was the father-daughter squaredance for the Girl Scouts. My dad was such a great sport. I also have pics of him doing the same with my two sisters when they were Girl Scouts.

See... Now you just encouraged me, so here come three more! I have all these because we did a photo presentation for my dad's 70th. I hope everyone will forgive me for this narcissistic indulgence. (Feel free to do the same!)
Here I am as a baby with my brother and dad. My husband thinks I looked like an "alien baby." LOL
This one is so the ladies can see where I got my dimples.
This was my second (?) birthday. This is where I think I was really cute, if I do say so myself.
Thanks for looking!

Hey Sis,
Well now you can see why they used to call me "BB," eh? (Bubble Butt! ARGH!) However, I certainly would not call me sexy, not by a long shot! I was just getting ready to climb into the boat, had just taken off my shoes, when Don snapped the pic. I was 45 years old. {{{{{{Sigh}}}}}} To be 45 again......
Hey, Sis, it's my 37th wedding anniversary today! Yaay. Hubby surprised me with 2 dozen red roses, even though we agreed that the new house was our gift to each other. All I did for him was send him a card. See how cheap I am?
How are we gonna celebrate? Okay, I'll tell ya.
He made reservations at my favorite restaurant -- Anthony's Seaport -- on the Bay. What am I going to have to eat, you ask? Okay, I'll tell ya. They serve a "Ponzo Salmon Salad Bowl" that's to die for. It's a huge bowl of hot rice with fresh salad greens, like arugula and Italian lettuce, fresh grilled salmon, and a Thai dressing. OMG, it's fab! Of course I'll have a Jack while gazing out the window at all the boats in the harbor.
Then we go to the new house to have a little toast (a little more Jack). Then we come back home and walk over to the golf course clubhouse, where we'll go to the bar and, yes, have a Jack.
It's my party, and I'll drink if I want to, drink if I want to, drink if I want to.... you will drink too, when it happens to you.......
Sis

You should see the hair on the little one in the picture though, before she cut it off, it was amazing. She should have been a hair model.

Yay!! That is awesome!! You must have a wonderful husband. I think mine is pretty wonderful too except for the fact that this past Saturday was our 5th anniversary and he was out of town White Water Rafting. I couldn't go because I had used up all of my time at work while in the hospital in May. We had also agreed not to get each other anything. He brought me back a shirt. Now guys, we all know that he was trying to be sweet, but would you want a shirt when you couldn't go? I mean I spend our 5th anniversary alone and I got a t-shirt. He is sweet though. Enjoy your dinner and I hope you have 37 more wonderful years.

My hubby and I have been talking about it but haven't bought one yet!
If I can say, I was a cute little girl. I have this one picture of me when I was about 6, so it was 1976, I have the short shag hair cut and green and white plaid pants on, its SO 70's, it cracks me up! I also have the naked in the tub pose, thats got to be a requirment of childhood?!
I was a teenager in the 80's and the QUEEN of big hair!! I used to tease it with a toothbrush because a comb just wouldn't make it big enough! OH MY!! Acid wash jeans, the more "pegged" the legs were, the better! If it glittered, I had to wear it! Remember, the colored mascara's? I used to love to wear green mascara!! EEEKKK!!

I was trying to find one of when I would crimp my hair, but no luck. Besides that and the big bangs I had once, I've really had the same hair my whole life. Long and straight. Pretty boring huh??
This is with my brother and sister - I'm the one with my tongue sticking out...
This is me and my little brother. We are so close, my parents say I raised him because he followed me everywhere. I'm very protective of him, and it's funny now because he's 6'5" and towering over me!
And this is me with the love of my life at that time....I still have it somewhere...

Everyone tells me that! We had this trivia slideshow whenwe were graduating from 8th grade, and they would show the baby pictures of all the 8th graders one by one, and each person had a piece of paper that you wrote down who you thought each baby was. EVERYONE knew who I was! lol I got a $25 gift certificate to the mall because of it So it came in handy I guess.
I always wanted your color when I was little. The thick, super light brown hair, I love that! I never liked being a brunette when I was younger - I dreamed abotu being a pretty little blonde girl with bright blue eyes. I got over that though when Britney Spears came out and turned every one and their sister into a blonde! lol But you're a cutie, Christine!

This next one is my mother and me when I was around 5:
And this one shows that I've always had an interesting relationship with food:

Go to www.uploadimages.net after you've scanned and saved your pictures into your computer, then click on browse, click on your picture, then upload it (you don't need an account or anything at the site! yay!!). Then when it's uploaded, it'll say "Here is a URL to your image" and it will have a link under it. Copy that URL, then come back here and form a Reply, then click on Image and paste the URL into the box. Then you submit your post, your picture should show up. Hope this helps!

No tornados in our area this time! There were awful tornados, but they all stayed east of us. We had warnings all day, but it was pretty much a nice day! We did have one a mile from our house last week though. There are so many tornados here this year! It's pretty cool I think, scary - but cool. We are starting to keep a lot of our valuable things in the basement!

I have been estranged from my family for many years. They don't even know where I am or how to get ahold of me. While I most certainly do not miss my mother or my younger brother, I mourn the loss of my big bro very much.
Enough of that.

We had a great day.
We got all cleaned up, and I pulled out my jewelry box, dusted it off, and went through all my old beauties. (I haven't changed earrings in 2 years!) It was fun "visiting" my old stuff. I put on a pant suit that hubby bought me for Christmas 2 years ago (that I've never worn before), and all he said to me was that I smelled good! (He paid for that BIG time!)
We drove down to the new property, where the builder was (are you ready?) INSTALLING THE UNDER-CABINET HALOGEN LIGHTING! Yaaaaay! (For those of you who don't recall, this was a big issue between me, the builder, and hubby!) The finish carpenter had finished the floor moulding, and did a real jazzy job where it meets the moulding of the fireplace -- OMG, it looks MAGNIFICENT! What a great anniversary gift!
We went down to the lake, where we walked MacKenzie and talked about all we've lived through the past 37 years. It was fun.
Then we drove to Anthony's on the Bay, where we sat by the window looking out at all the ships in the harbor. Beautiful. I had my Equalactin, French bread, and (of course) my friend, Jack. Then I had the Ponzo salmon salad bowl. OMG! It's to die for. No more Jack. For some reason, one was enough....?
We drove home, slowly, talking more about the past 37 years and all the homes we've bought and fixed up, and how nice it is to finally build a brand new house and have it all paid for, no mortgage, in our old age....
We got back to this tiny little condo, with me groaning about how I'm gonna last another 2 weeks and 1 day, and we curled up on the couch and fell fast asleep, where we slept for 2 hours.
I think we got slipped a couple of mickies in our Jack! Wow, that was SOME drink! We passed on our plans to go over to the clubhouse for more celebration. Whew!
Quite a difference from our wedding night..... Ah well, that's okay, because I wouldn't go back, even if I could. Times are much better now, believe me. (Right, Sis?)
Thanks for all your wishes, Guys!

Hey Sis,
Wow, sounds like you had a great anniversary, especially with the good news on the house. I bet the builder didn't know he was giving you an anniversary gift, too.
Having dinner (boy was I drooling when you talked about what you had to eat) while watching the ships in the harbor sounds wonderful.
And, yes, you are right about how things (even though different than the wedding night) are better after all these years as we learn more about what marriage and love are really all about.
Sis, you got it all together!!

I loved my Cabbage Patch dolls too! I had one red-haired girl named Janella Sarah and two premie twins named Cora Tay and Kitty something-or-other. For some reason Cora was my favorite and I took her EVERYWHERE with me. I have pics of me carrying her around in one of those baby carriers that goes around your neck. Now that's obsessive.
BTW, I still sleep with a stuffed animal every single night...

I wish I had this one scanned... I have a bad-hair picture too... but it wasn't my cousin who did it, it was my father! LOL
The picture with you and your mom is just great.
LOL! You'd think fathers would know better.
I loved your 80s pic, btw... that's classic.

Well, define "expensive". My scanner was a christmas present, but I know it was less than $100 at Best Buy, because I picked it out. Heh. I think it was $80 or so?

Well, if your husband's company (a dotcom startup) goes belly up and sells off all of it's stuff super cheap no. I don't know how much they cost if you're not getting laid off as part of the deal.

Well, ours is an all-in-one and it was about $80. So if you buy one, you'd get a printer, scanner, and a copier all in one machine!

That's funny! Ours is just the size of a normal printer! lol It's a Lexmark X1150. It sure beats having a printer and a scanner separate! hehe

I know! He is protective of me now too, and my mom used to always say, 'one day he'll be much bigger than you caralynn (that's my real name)'. At my wedding, my brother had a speech - it was hilarious - but part of it was something like, 'Justin - I know I stopped following Caralynn around when I was about 10 or 11, but rest assured I'll make sure you follow her around for the rest of your life'. It was cute. My brother is a big weight lifter, and he's so tall....but in my eyes he's still my little baby brother!
