Hey everyone,
Here's a fun but obviously not necessarily "scientifically accurate" IQ test. I thought it would be fun to take  Post your results too if you want. Don't be shy -- you know all us IBS'ers are a bunch of smarty's right?......rrrright?

Hmm Rachel, I think you took the wrong test...it doesnt come out as a percentage. Go to http://www.intelligencetest.com/, scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on START TEST.
It has 30 questions I believe and takes roughly 10-15 mins.

I think those are fun  I scored a 124, but I'm obviously not too bright as I didn't notice the timer until I had 2 questions left and it was at 0:05.... 0:04....0:03

Guess that's why mine was 93!!!  I meant to say that instead of 93%, now I really feel stupid!

besides those things aren't all that accurate anyway!!!!!!!!!!
it also adjusts it for your age somehow so there is someway to see that (i think higher age makes it go up a bit and vice versa) not sure how do check that though!

I got bored halfway through and quit, but of the ones I did answer I got over half wrong.
It's just a good thing that kind of test proves nothing about how smart people are! I once had a colleague that used to score in the genius range on those tests and he was borderline psychopathic.

I just went back and took the test again, only this time I said I was a "male." I answered the same exact questions exactly the same way, but my score was 2 points higher than when I took it as a female!
Hmmmm. Sounds like, as usual, we girls are graded on a tougher scale than our men pals. Hee hee hee.

According to this my IQ is 127... which means it's gone down since I was in kidnergarten! I KNEW I was getting stupider!!!
Also, I apparently bite at spatial relations... duh!
(Psst... I don't think the test was very accurate.)

ya i dont quite know the accuracy of the test either...i was bored, so i baked, now i'm back...lol and i took a different one, hehehe....oh wow, i just looked at the results and is was 118. a difference of one...
it also describes your "intellectual type" which was pretty accurate for me:
Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.
P.S - I think this one is more accurate, maybe, because you have to pay to get the full "15 page report" lol ---- anyway TAKE THIS TEST

I *know* my IQ isn't that high. LOL! Actually, it might be close to that, but I think the scoring of that is off by quite a bit. I've taken other tests before, and I really do always come out as high average, or whatever they called it.
But it was a fun ego boost for the day. Haha.

I took a different test because I guess I'd already tkaen that one at some point or another, because it wouldn't let me take it. So I took a different one that said I was 136 which they consider "highly intelligent." I really am a nerd

Wow -- I wish I had taken that version of the test! I was thinking about the differences between the male/female -- do you think they might award you extra for finishing the test ahead of time? I know I was right down to the buzzer with mine (and two frantic guesses). I got 3 wrong out of the 30 and scored a 142.
