Chicken tikka masala is the one food that I will always, always, ALWAYS risk an attack for! (But for the record, it's never bothered me... maybe it's all the rice and naan that comes with it?)

who have heavy accents and choose the items for you! For you NYC people I do not live far from you and my husband and I make at least one trip a year to the Big Apple. We plan our days around 1. restaurants 2. museums 3. window shopping or should I say dreaming? I think NYC has the best restaurants, but I haven't been to New Orleans yet!

Oh. So. Good! I haven't been there in so many years - I went as a teenager - but even now I remember just SO much good food, hehe. Jambalaya, gumbo, blackened catfish, beignets... I know I could make the stuff here, but it's still better down there.
I love New Orleans. If I ever leave Maine, that's my next home, for sure!

So tough to pick...
My husband makes an awesome veat salmon wrapped in puff pastry with rice that's served in a dill sauce. It's yummy. I also love vegetarian jumbalaya made with soyrizo (which come to think of it, I should post in the recipe forum).
But lately I too have been craving Indian... or Ethiopian.

Aaahhhhh! Do I miss it! We lived in New Orleans and Baton Rouge for years. The oyster poyboys, crawfish etouffee, fresh shrimp, and bread pudding with whiskey sauce---that's what I miss the most! Can't get that kind of food in North Carolina, especially not the fresh seafood.
