No, this isn't my first job. I was hired at the job I have now when I was 14 and it all started off really well, because it's a very small bookstore and she had 4 employees - jsut the right amount. So I got to work 3 days a week and I earned about $60 a week. Then she slowly starting cutting me back, and now I only work 2-4 HOURS a week, only on Wednesdays, and I get about $18 when I work the full 4. That's not going to cut it anymore now that I have a car! Plus, I live only with my mom and sister, and my sister goes to school year-round and needs more things than I do, so I'm usually stuck buying my own wants & needs because a single parent budget is very slim!
Jen - I bet you got a job at least at ONE of those places! hopefully at the higher paying one, of course. A publishing company....sounds like a Bridget Jones experience?  Just kidding! Anyway, I really, really hope you get that job!
I can't wait you guys! I love Cracker Barrel, too!

At the risk of sounding more supid than I am -- what's "Cracker Barrel"? I assume some kind of store in the mall that sells -- uh lets see, what could it be -- maybe CRACKERS?
Okay, sorry, never heard of it. But I never go to the mall. Well, I went to Sears yesterday. Does that count?
Peaches, I assume, then, that this is a sales job? Do you have experience in sales? Do you WANT experience in sales? I guess so, since you seemed anxious for the job. ?Good luck!
Will this be a summer job only, then? Let us know how the interview went, 'kay?

Cracker Barrel is a true southern food restaurant. It is absolutely fabulous. I LOVE their food. You are missing out. LOL!!!
I'm sure Peaches is applying for a waitressing position/hostess.
