Hi all,
I'm loving this site, and am really enjoying everyone and all the support. I've been posting messages and if someone responds I want to make sure I see it and respond back if necessary. Then my internet goes out for a couple days and how do I zero in on my messages and responses to them when I come back? Is there anyway to do that? My senior brain can't keep track of all of this at times. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, Forgetful!

I LUV Vermont. Especially the Teddy Bear Factory!

You can spot all the posts that you haven't read because they'll all be "highlighted" (actually they'll be in a bold font), and the ones you have read will be in a lighter font. If you're a newbie, then most likely all the posts you see are bolded, but you can't tell because there aren't any lighter ones (which would be the ones you've already read) to make the bolded ones stand out.

Damn, I make this more confusing than it is! ARGH! Must be MY senior brain! (Yep, me thinks perhaps you and I have something in common, Girlfriend.... I'll be 60 in 3 months.)

Bev

In addition to Bev's wonderful advice, if there's a thread/post in particular that you want to keep track of & you have a feeling you'll be away for a while, you can add it to your "favorites".

If you scroll down this page, right here, just a bit, you'll see a boxed-in section that says "Extra Information". On the left side of that section, you'll see a link that says "Favorite Thread! (toggle)". If you click that link, the post will be added to your favorites.

To see it in the future, click on the "My Home" link near the top of the page. You'll have a section on the right side of the page that shows your tracked posts.

I probably made this sound a lot more complicated than it is, heh, and if so, I'm sorry about that! It's a good way to keep track of something if you have a feeling you won't be back for several days - it gets busy around here!

Hey Bev,
Believe it or not I actually understood that. I don't know if that is a good sign or a bad sign. Thanks for the tip. I usually look at the posts in collapsed mode, so I will have to switch to expanded. I don't have a lot of time to do the boards, so I'll have to scroll really, really fast!

I'm 56, but most days feel like I'm 36 - OK - truth time - 45. You like your Jack I hear. I believe Scotch is better than Maalox. I'm getting my D under control without having to give it up! I figure that's pure will.

Hey Rose,
Thanks for the suggestion - I like it and now I am going to try it with this post. - Ahhh - I see it now - I just clicked "add this thread to my favorites". I knew there was a way and it was right in front of me all along. Thanks Rose.
