Woke up with a migraine, actually felt it coming on last night. Took an Imitrex so I'll be feeling better very soon, which is good because we're going out today. So fibro scale of only 4 (by definition when I have I migraine I am SO NOT base line functional!!).

Goal today is JUST ONE - make it out of the house at 2:30 as planned. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.

Made me smile, everybody! Head pain is already gone but now I've got the triptan side effects of shakiness. I may have to go out in my pj's. In NYC who would notice?? I just increased the dose on the preventive, but it will take about 3 weeks to kick in.

i guess that's the million dollar question, eh?

i wonder why you are so susceptible to them? another girl i know with fibro (laura, too, ironically) gets them terribly as well.

geez, i really with there were a way to find out what that daggone trigger is and deal with it once and for all!

i am "lucky" in that i don't get them nearly as frequently and as viciously and as stubbornly as you guys do. i don't know how you do it. well, of course, neither do you- you just do, right?

hope you're feeling even better soon. and where what you want. it is NY, as you said.

SMOOCHES.

Hmm, both Laura you say. That must be it. People named Laura get more migraines!!

Seriously, I never had them this bad till March and April of this year. My doctor says that sometimes they just go out of control for no apparent reason, kind of like asthma will all of a sudden stop responding to whatever meds is controlling it. The mysteries of the human body. Ah, well, it's still better than cancer!!

The wierd thing is, I think I got this one because I had the velcro band on my eyeshade fastened too tight last night!! Isn't that ridiculous!! If it's not one thing...

I have Lupus, IBS, Fibro, Migraines, Sciatica, Psoriasis, and a blood clotting disorder. Needless to say I take many meds. One of the meds that I take is an abortive for the migraines that I have had since I was 12, it is called topramax or topiramate. It is supposed to help with pain like fibro as well. It also helped me to lose 80 pounds

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about Topramax. My sympathies on all the illnesses! I thought 3 was alot (I have IBS, Fibro and Migraines).
