i have a sinking suspicion that no one will be at the 2nd Md IBS Support Group meeting tonight...
i may be all alone in a reserved room.
ugh.
at least the food will be good.

Plus you won't get nervous talking in front of yourself.. compared to a group of people.

Now you know I'd be there if it was a teeny bit nearer! Enjoy the food!

It's too bad I don't live down there anymore... I would have been there for sure. I could have used the in-person support today, too.
Enjoy the food?

Do you run this support group yourself?!? I would go.. I'm feeling sorry for myself with little to do. haha but I think DC still might be pretty far away.

Nah, I don't think I ever mentioned it. I lived in MD for a couple years (the bustling metropolis of Camp Springs! THAT was fun!), and then moved to VA for a couple more. I get around.
I think I was having more of a whiny day yesterday, so it's just as well that I kept my mouth shut. Hah! I'm better today, but I may still whine babble about it later. Thanks.
And yay for good food!
*hugs*

hang on a sec...
ah! so you're military or government. or someone is... hence the moving. gotcha.
well, feel free to whine/babble/vent/rant/discuss all you want! we all are in a little love fest here all the time, so we don't mind!

Not military, just confused. Heh. I won't even get into how many times I've moved in the past few years. I actually moved down there for a job - I couldn't find work in NY, of all nutty things. You're not missing much by not immediately knowing where it was... the town left a LOT to be desired.

2. plus me.
so that's becoming a pattern! we had 2 (plus me) the last time, too. and yes, they were totally different people (except for me) both times. so we have 4 people in the group (plus me), i guess. (i know why the people from the first meeting weren't there- one is a college student here and is now back at home in TX and the other wrote me yesterday to tell me he had a meeting at work and probably wouldn't make it). so there you go! 4 members (plus me)! not too shabby!
the next meeting is the 2nd Monday of July. then the 2nd Monday of August. (look at me, being predictable!) i'm going to advertise the next ones in the papers.
what did we talk about? oh... what to eat, what not to. soy milk. cheating on the diet. acacia and other SFSes. where we live. dating. kids. how it sucks when people don't understand what you're going through. um... valuable potty time. jobs.
we met from 7 to about 9:15! i had a good time. i hope they did! and i hope neither one had any bad repercussions from the food....
how are YOU, Bevrs dearie!?

no one who comes in here, or at least recently. you may have seen Evie in here, though... she's the one who's back at home in Texas. she's a sweetie!
they know about the boards, kinda, but i posted a little "quick link" for them. i know the woman comes over for recipes at least. i hope they'll both come over and play and post questions! they're really really nice people.
there was another girl... she posted here about the same time JuLee and Kimm started posting. she was on once or twice. another sweet, nice girl. i haven't heard from her in quite a while.
i sent out an email to all of the people whose addresses i'd collected and no one replied. and no one but the two who came posted on the boards about coming to the meeting. or at all! so i don't know what that's about... i had a little poll to see when was best to meet, what day and time, and quite a few people replied, but then i never heard from them again.
well, i'm going to persevere!
i don't know if Ashley is going to come up. that's quite a drive, but of course she's more than welcome!

It's a terrific thing you're doing; keep it up -- you'll eventually get a lot more attendees, I'm sure. Besides, I have a very strong feeling that your parties are not only well organized, extremely informative, and supportive, but a blast as well. If I were back there, I'd be a regular, oh yeah!
BTW, WIW, I been bad. VERRRRY bad. I need to be punished.

How did these people hear of your support group if they're not boarders?
When I get a new doc in Newbury, I was thinking of putting a card up in the sugery...? No-one wants to meet with me.

i was going to meet with you, but i've found the commute to be prohibitive.
i think it's a good idea to post in the doctor's office! i am thinking about doing the same.
the people who came to the meetings somehow found the Support Group boards, but must not have realized there was this whole set over here....
