Okay, I'm so tired I actually fell asleep at my desk a little while ago... so I had a few mouthfuls of coffee...now my head is buzzing, I'm STILL sleepy and I can't concentrate. Plus my tummy is reminding me exactly why I don't don't drink coffee.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Aw, Linzy, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Damn that job. Bloody Hell! If it wasn't for the job, you wouldn't have had that damn coffee. Right? RIGHT?

I don't know what to take to counter the effects of that coffee; I'm afraid it's gotta just run its course. Do you have any Equalactin? It might help.

You need a special calendar on which you can mark off the days. I thought hubby was crazy when he proposed it for us -- to mark off the days before the big move -- but he insisted, putting it on the fridge and every morning marking off another day. You know what? The darn thing actually helps. I love seeing the remaining days dwindle down.....

Get better, Sugar!

Thanks Bevvy! Yep, I NEVER touch coffee at home. Though I've gotta myself some of that soy coffee. The stuff I had today wasn't even nice coffee - it was cheap, machine coffee, somewhat like goat's piss (I'd imagine ). Damn! As I was going to cheat, I should have least done it PROPERLY! But then I wouldn't have been able to stop at a couple of mouthfuls, so its probably for the best. Only had to run to the loo once so far, so I think all that soluble fibre is doing its job!

Hi again Linz (I just wrote to you!)
Poor you, I think you should get the pity hat instead of me. I can't imagine falling asleep at work.. well, especially 'cause I just walk around all day so I could cause some serious damage! But that sucks, especially if it made you drink the Goat's Piss brand of coffee - yech!
Is it the coffee that gave you the heartburn? I totally sympathise, as I told you that I've been getting it so bad it's brought me to tears a few times lately. Do you have anything you take (like gaviscon or anything) or is it just reflux meds? I dunno if you are supposed to take that stuff while taking the prescription meds, but I did yesterday 'cause I thought I was dying! <-- drama queen.

How much longer at work? I have to work 6 'til midnight, so maybe you'll be finishing when I am leaving for work. I wish I wasn't so afraid of calling in sick, or I would but I have a serious complex about sick calls!
Hope you are feeling better now, or will be soon!

Yep, I'll be going home as you get in!

I wouldn't have such a problem falling to sleep if I didn't have to sit down to do something really boring. I'm fine if I keep moving. Though I HATED pub work, so I have LOTS of sympathy for you! It sucks.

Are your reflux meds not working? That's not very useful is it? What are you on again? Maybe changing meds would be a good idea. Oh, and I took Zantac with my prescription meds, so I wouldn't worry.

I think you need to pity hat! I'm fine mentally, perfectly chirpy - it's just that my body's falling apart around me!

... that way I get it while I at the pub, which seems fair. Since I agree that pub work is real sh... really something... After the football match on Saturday, I never wanted to go back but it shouldn't be too bad tonight - it's quiz night.. yay...
The reflux meds don't seem to be working very well.. my biggest complaint was that it bothered me to swallow, felt like I was having an allergic reaction and that it gets hard for me to catch my breath.. both of those are still happening at random times, really often. The only thing that's changed is that I am getting bad heartburn now - go figure. Um, it's called.. Ran-something.. lemme look.. Ranitidine? I think so. Yeah. I am going to see GP on Tuesday to re-fill my anti-spasmodics, so I will talk to him about it then.

I'll bet you hope the next 2 hours go fast, while I hope they drag on and on so I don't have to go!!

Ask your doc about Lansoprazole - it's worked for both me and my DHTB. Until I made the mistake of drinking coffee (Doh! Linz, doh!) I hadn't had noticeably annoying heartburn for ages.

I think the problems swallowing etc, are actually part of the reflux. I certainly used to have that ALL the time.

Dontcha just want a new body? Preferably one that can drink (GOOD) coffee. Really, Linz, I'm sorry you're feeling so yucky at work. I make that stupid coffee mistake at least once a month! I think it's biologically impossible to avoid the stuff when you have negative energy and feel lousy. Hope you've got a heat pad waiting at home for ya!
