There is a large pond in my backyard right now and there is still more rain on the way. So far our basement is dry, but not everyone in my area is so lucky.
My eight year asked me yesterday if he can put on his swimming suit and go swimming in our backyard. I had to laugh and told him no - you will end full of mud. Thought it was too cute!!!

We've had rain every day for the past week or so (just in the afternoon and evening...not all day). It's so nice, though because it's usually so dry here. Now everything is pretty and green. We can usually count on a rain shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon this time of year.

Oh wow! Send some our way. We're in a drought. Our grass is brown, and my flowers are shriveling up, even after watering them all. Every afternoon, they predict rain, it gets dark and thunders----and then bypasses us!!!!! Doin a little rain dance in North Carolina! Our relatives in Louisiana have had 13 inches, and I'm so jealous.

Yep, Barb, we've had waaaaay too much rain here too. We've been having flood watches on and off the past few days. Luckily we haven't been flooded here, but just south of us they've had some problems. I'm with you... I want it all to go away!
