...literally, just! Aaah. My heart is still pounding. But my boss was REALLY nice about it, so I feel horrible. I really like everyone here, but the job hasn't exactly been helping my IBS or Fibro. Ah well. It's done.

Hi Linz,

Hopefully you will feel better, now. What are your plans? Do you plan to take some time off or just retire, like me?

PS: My daughter-in-law's name is Linz short for Lindsay.

Thanks guys! I'm going to go home tonight and have a glass of wine to celebrate. Still feeling a bit weird about it - probably because health-wise I feel okay and it's easy to block out how awful it is coming to work here when I'm ill. It's definitely sensible, tho. I never meant to stay here much longer than a year and it's been 16months now.

When I've worked out my notice, I'm going to have a bit of time off with the wedding and then I'm probably going to get a little job near our new house, hopefully in horticulture, whilst doing some Met work for myself.

I think I hang out here more when I'm at work (bored) then when I'm home (and busy!). But I promise I'll stick around.

Know it must have been a hard decision to come to but you know it must have been the right decision for You and that's what helped you go through with it. I think once the shock wears off you will be glad you did it!

Take care of yourself and keep in touch with everyone on the boards when you can!! We all care about you!

Good for you Linz! You'll be so much happier....and what a relief to have the time (and a bit more energy) to get ready for the wedding! Horticulture, eh? That sounds very relaxing and low stress

Let me know how long it takes you to reach the "I don't wanna do anything at this job anymore" stage.. LOL I reached that stage the day after I turned in my resignation notice and can't bring myself to do anything productive.

Yay for Linz! We're here for you all the way! You totally have to do what's best for you. Now that you have done that, it's time to get (i'm blanking out for what word to choose) the rewards, and take a nice rest! Feel better! And sorry about your attack after the chips/crisps!

Hi!
I just wanted to say congrats, sorry if it's a bit late! At least the telling your boss bit is already over, that's the part that makes me want to hide under a rock - I can't even call in sick without having a serious anxiety attack!
Good for you for making a decision for your body and sticking to it!
I wish we could all be ladies of leisure - we'd sure have a lot more time for the boards then! And no more calling in sick! And I'd had a bathroom added on to every room in my house... I could really go on and on from here so I'll stop!
I'm really happy for you, though, yay!

I'm glad you ditched it! Maybe it's time for a change? What are your plans for the next while? Just catch up on lots and lots of rest now that you're FREE!!! lol Good job!
