I have a question. I used to take zoloft like 3 yrs ago. Well I went off it and my IBS seemed to get worse so the doc put me back on it. When I took it the first time I had no side effects that I can recall. Anyways, I started taking it Tuesday and have felt nauseated and had a little D since then. Has anyone here ever taken it and had these side effects. I hope its not making my IBS worse??

Ashley, I think it's probably just coincidence. I've taken it and never had either of those side effects. I'd give it another day or two and in the meantime use the usual home remedies for nausea and D. Keep us posted and feel better, okay?!

Yep, had horrible D the first week I took it, and then it went away. Your body just has to get used to it.

I am taking Celexa. I had nausea and D for a few days and it went away. I've been on it for 3-4 weeks and I haven't noticed a significant increase in my mood or IBS but I haven't noticed a decrease either. Give it a few weeks, I know it's hard but it's the only way to tell.

I had terrible d for almost a month when I started Zoloft, and my Dr. had me switch to taking it at night and that helped immensely.
