EMERGENCY BIRTHCONTROL QUESTION

Hi Everyone,
I know I know this is a poopin board.. but I figured i'd give it a shot considering this board consists primarily of women. I'm on mircette birthcontrol, and I have been on it for at least five years. Well I just realized that I totally forgot to take my birthcontrol on SATURDAY night. it was still sitting there all nice and neat in its package. lovely. I know i'm a space cadet.. how did I not notice is beyond me. It was punched out like I meant to take it but never actually taken all the way out. i'm a brainiac.
Ok, well I know I know.. take it when you remember. Problem is is that that was my last ACTIVE pill. It was my 21st pill. and by the time I noticed, I had already taken once placebo on sunday, and the placebo for tonight. So I haven't taken the pill, because I figured hmm hopefully i'll be getting my period today or tomorrow, and I think I'll royally screw myself up more if I just take an active pill after two days of placebos.
AHHHHHH i don't know what to do. I've looked at tons of places online, and I could call a doctor but its 12:30am so thats outta the question. I'm just really not down for getting pregnant right now so any advice would help ALOT!!
I know i've been on it for a looooong time so that should make my odds a little greater, and it was the last one before my placebos.. which could be a good thing or a badthing. unfortunately i dont' know which it is!
HELP PLEASE!

Ya know, I think your going to be fine! Call a pharmacy and ask them. They always know what to do. Usually when I miss one they say its fine. Just go one as us normaly would. Just use back up for the next few days...I bet your period will start any day now!

At any longs or Planned Parenthood you can pick up plan B. An emergency contraceptive. Its 2 pills and really easy to take, good luck

Hi,
From what I understand, I think you should be fine considering it was your last pill. If I were you, I'd just use 'other methods of contraception' for a while, just to make sure (if you are as scared of babies as I am). If you already went ahead and.. uhh.. didn't use said other methods, I still think you'll be alright. One pill shouldn't make too much difference, especially if it was the last one and you are just gonna get a period soon anyway.

You should be fine! you may get your period a little earlier than usual, but I don't see any way you could get pregnant! You should have ovulated at least a week ago (actually, I don't think you would ovulate because of the pill, but anyway, the point is the same) and you can only get PG within 2-3 days of ovulation.

Thank you so much, I just didn't take the pill at all. All of the packages said take it when you notice it but I think that applies to pills in the beginning or middle of your pack, and probably would have just messed me up if I had taken them after two days of placebos. wish me luck. anxiously awaiting my period.. gross i never thought i'd say that
