I didn't want to wait another week and half to post this.
Once in awhile my skin is sensitive to touch and it actually hurts. This mostly happens before my period.

Anyone else experience this and YES Bev you will write and say it is hormones. LOL

Well, Barb, you're right AGAIN. Girlfriend, let me tell you, HRT has a BIG affect on skin tenderness! My nipples are hard and so tender to the touch, I can't stand anything against them. The areola turns black and scaly. (Okay, sorry guys, for being so descriptive.) Hubby just TOUCHES me, and I jump out of my skin.

I go OFF the HRT, and the black scale goes away, the tenderness disappears, and hubby and my boobs are once again happy cohorts.

That's all I can tell ya, Girlfriend. I speak from experience. The only hormones my body produces are those I take orally, and the minute I stop taking them my body changes drastically.

Sorry guys.

Yes, I have experienced skin tenderness. I have attributed mine to a form of anxiety. I say this because if my hair gets too long and touches my face, it can drive me up the wall and over it. Just little things like that, a bra strap that is too tight will do the same thing to me, I have spent a huge fortune trying to find a bra that doesnt make me want to climb the wall. I finally found one I can tolerate for a while, give me enough time and as soon as I get in my truck and head home that thing is coming off.

I tie all of this together a form of anxiety. This is how it works for me.

Me too, but I don't think it's hormones for me. I think it's from getting too tired or from my fibromyalgia. There's even a medical term for it, "allodynia," which means touch not normally painful is perceived as painful. It was happening to me often enough even before I got sick that my hubby and I coined a term to describe it. I'd tell him I had the "touch-me-nots!"

That is great info you all gave and Bev I'm glad hubby and boobs are happy when you have hormones in your body!!!LOL

Now I know why there has been a lack of laughter for the past few weeks in my life - I haven't been on the board to read posts.
