How are you doing?! Hope you are jollier than a Jolly Rancher! Has the audit lady gone away?! I hope so! That sounds scary! Well..good luck! How's your day been so far?!

I'm kind of dead, I spent from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM in the ER with my best friend. He was running down some stairs yesterday while he was ushering our spring show here at school, and he twisted his ankle. I made sure he got home ok, and then it started hurting really bad when he tried to go to sleep, so he decided to go to the ER at 2:30 AM to see if it was broken. He called me, and of course I went to make sure he was ok and to keep him company. It's not broken, just badly sprained, it's splinted and wrapped (I got to help splint it while we were in the ER so I know how to do it later to help him out). Got him home by 7 AM, crashed at his place, skipped my first two classes today to sleep, went to my noon class, and I'm now killing some time before my last class of the week at 3. The thing is my best friend and I are supposed to go to a semi-formal tonight, but between my shaking and his ankle, and us both being dead tired from last night's ER visit, I don't know if we'll make it there. Have to see how the rest of the day pans out.

Hope the rest of you are having happy Fridays!

Hi,

I just got home from doing a lot of errands. I was going to watch my soaps but Rumsfeld is testifying and that is on instead. Feeling pretty good so far today but yesterday had D. I get so tired of going back to my food diary and figuring out what is the trigger.

By the way, my daughter-in-law heard my grandbaby's heartbeat for the first time....she is 3 months along. I'm so excited!

Have a great day

Hi,

Yes, I did watch Friends and can you imagine thinking you are going to bring home one baby and end up with two?? It is very sad that it was the last show but I really don't think it was as good as I expected it would be.....I am glad Rachel and Ross "finally" got together.

I thought it was good.... but at the same time noticed and mentioned to Shane several times....... if this was not the last show..... EVERYONE would have been at the hospital for the birth and EVERYONE would have been at the airport to see off Rachel..... just my feelings. Oh, and... would you REALLY leave infant twins in the other apartment while you tear about the foosball table? I loved friends..... I will miss them.... and YES...I will be one of those people who buys the WHOLE thing on DVD!

I've been fighting a migraine (as usual) but feeling better at the moment. And you're right Shell, the boards sure have been quiet today. JenX said she's was going out of town til Monday, and I guess Bev is at the new house, or doing needlepoint in her recliner!

Good....I'm glad your feeling better for the moment....cross fingers it will last for ya.

Oh yeah...I forgot JenX said she was leaving..... I have not seen Mags, Kree, Steph, Jamie..... and many more.... oh well..... it's the weekend and everyone needs time to themselves.

I may not be around TOO MUCH this weekend either....we are having Mother's Day at our place this year, so we will be getting ready for that.

I agree with everything you said, Shell. I also wondered about Phoebe's husband, who has been totally forgotten about.

I loved "Friends," taping every episode for the past 10 years! I still laugh at all the oldies. But I'm very disappointed in the later episodes; this past year was a total bust, and the ending for me was .... (sorry folks) .... BORING. I wanted to change the channel, but I figured I had too much time invested in the program, I HAD to see it through. Snore, snore. And (again, I'm sorry), Joey and Chandler were not their usual comic selves; the scene when they had to talk to the foosball table was stupid. Not funny, but stupid. Maybe it was all that hype we've gotten for the past year, but I was expecting a lot more.....

I think "Joey" is gonna be hard-pressed to match the quality of the old "Friends," but I'm sure gonna be open-minded and hope for the best. I REALLY hope they include his old agent; she was a RIOT!

Okay, there's my two-bits worth....

Ok last night was the first time that I'd ever watched a full episode of Friends, and now I kind of regret not having kept up with it all these years! Anyways, here are some lines that I thought were funny:

Doctor: Oh...I thought you knew there were twins!
Chandler: Oh yeah! These are the faces of two people in the know!!

(as they're looking for the lost chick and duckling)
Monica: AHHHH!! What did I just step on??
Chandler: No worries! It was jsut an eggroll!
Joey: My eggroll!!!!
Monica: I'm sorry, Joey. But honestly, who leaves an eggroll on the floor anyway?
Joey: Ok, just put it on the plate and LEAVE!

Phoebe: Hi, Monica it's me! Alright, here's Ross.
Ross: Monica! I need you to tell me-
Monica: Oh Ross the twins are making such adorable sounds! Here, listen!
(holds the phone down to the babies)
Ross: No, no Monica! Monica, wait!! Monica?? Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica...
Monica: Oh darnit! They were just doing it a minute ago.
Ross: Ok that's nice. Monica, I need you to-
Monica: OH!! Here they go again!
(hold the phone down again)
Ross: NO! Monica!! Monica?? Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica. Monica. MONICA!!
Monica: (bringing the phone back to her ear) Did you hear that???
Ross: That was PRECIOUS.

Hahahahahahahahaha! Alright I just thought I'd join in real quick. Sorry if this bored you!

Hi,

Did you know there are re-runs of Friends on WB at 5PM and 6PM CST? If you can watch then you can catch up on the other episodes.

Okay.. and what has been up with baby Emma? Why couldn't she stay with Ross instead of Rachel's mother? Where was that baby in the last scene? Still with Rachel's mother?

The whole baby Emma situation has irked me, but I'm still a devoted Friends fan!

I thought Friends was excellent last night! I've heard a few people say they didn't think it was as good this season, but I disagree. I can't think of a single episode that didn't have me in stiches, as usual. And last night may have been slightly toned down, but I think that was appropriate. The whole concept of having everything change was kind of bittersweet, and I think they portrayed that very well. As Peaches showed, they still had plenty of funny lines!!

As for where I was today, I went to see Ella Enchanted at the theater. It was really cute! Just what I needed this afternoon. I decided to look for a movie at the spur of the moment and went to see it all alone. As a matter of fact, I was the only one in the theater! That's happened to me a few times, one of which was Signs... that was a little creepy. I'm just curious, does anyone else go to movies by themselves, or am I just weird?

I guess Rachel's Mother was going to take Emma to Paris on Sunday!! But another thing that bugged me about that was.... Ross did not blind an eye at the idea of not only Rachel but also Emma was moving to Paris?????

Kree,

I used to go to movies by myself all the time when I was single. I was a real film buff. Studied film history in college even. Now that I'm not working Andy says I should go to movies without him during the day if I want to. But so far I haven't had the energy! But no, you're not wierd. You're self-sufficient, which is a good trait to have!

Have a good weekend!

Oh good. I feel better now, thanks Laura! I honestly didn't know anyone else who did that. I'm the same way, I love movies and get to see them so rarely with friends. We never seem to want to see them at night and with my student's schedule I'm the only one who doesn't work during the day! So I think this is the third or fourth time I've done this over the past year or two. I don't blame you for not having the energy. I usually don't, and I don't have the fibro and migraines and all that other junk you have to deal with. I wish we lived close to one another... then we could go to the movies together!

Hey Shell,

Unfortunately I don't have this weekend off. Yesterday I didn't fly, but had the beginnings of a cold with a really sore throat so I just stayed in bed all day. Today I have to go out to the airport and teach a groundschool course and then maybe do some flight training in the afternoon.

Sorry about not getting a 'What is it' for yesterday and today. I'll try and think of a good one, feel free to come up with one if you'd like.

Cheers!

ok, I just watched friends...I recorded it. I thought it was good. I was sad though..I'm sad its over! I love that show. I think its hard for them to cram a lot of stuff into one hour...thats probaley why the Ross and Rachels baby wasn't in the show.

I'm sad its over! I was so close to crying... but Dylan was watching it with me! He would have thought mom's gone nuts. LOL!!! NOW I'll just have survivor and ER....well I'll have to wait till next season. There wraping up this week too.....only for the season however

Hey Shell,

It looks like I won't be able to get a 'what is it' for Monday as I have to be at the airport for really early. The next two weeks are gonna be pretty busy for me. First I have a fair amount to do at work and then I'm back to Toronto for a week for a couple days vacation and then to get my wisdom teeth out so I won't be on the boards too often. But when I have some time I'll come up with another good lyrics game.

Kree, I go to movies by myself somtimes too! I don't think it's weird. My mom does this too, since I'm hardly ever in L.A. these days. In fact, I really want to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Hmm, I may just do that as a study break this week! Too bad you're in Rochester...if you were in Ithaca we could go together

Ohhh I loved the last episode, it reminded me of the earlier seasons. I thought it was a great episode bcos each character was involved, and had time to shine. The surprises made me laught too: the twins, the little chicks, Rachel getting on & off & on & off the plane, etc. Great show indeed:) I will miss it terribly bcos I love that show. It was on for 10 years, WoW that's a big part of my life! But then there are re-runs on tv so that's good. I wonder if the "Joey" show will do okae?

Julie, I wish I was a little closer to Ithaca too. That would be SO much fun to go to the movies together. I don't think I'd be able to get down there this week (and plus it sounds like you'll be very busy with finals!), but we should plan to get together sometime! I certainly wouldn't mind coming down there for a day! Do you stay there in the Summer too, or go back to L.A.?

I was actually in Ithaca a few weeks ago! My cousin is an undergrad there. He's in the breakdancing club (which I think is hilarious) and I came down with my family to see his performance. Ithaca is so gorgeous! I hadn't been there in years and I'd forgotten how pretty the views are.

Yeah, I'm very busy this week, but the semester's almost over! It's been a long one. I'll be in and out of Ithaca all summer. I'm going home, then to Indiana to learn Yiddish. I'll be back in August though. When do you start teaching?

oh, and Ithaca is "gorges"...in case you haven't the corny t-shirts. No, really, it's wonderful now that winter is over and everything is blooming!

Julie, how many languages do you know?? That's so neat that you'll be learing Yiddish. I wish I actually remembered the French and German I took in high school and freshman year of college.

Well let me know if you're ever interested in getting together when you'll be in the area!

I'm hoping to start teaching next Fall, but right now I'm still looking for a job. I've started filling out app's, etc., but as of right now not too many jobs are posted. I'm hoping more will show up once the retirement packages come out!

Gorges... haha. I must have missed those shirts...
