Oh I feel so poohey today. I got way too tired over the weekend working on the new house and so today my Fibro has flared. Doesn't help that its p***ing down today and is horribly chilly and damp. I'm knackered, I ache all over and everything keeps on HURTING! Plus, I had a smoothie at lunchtime hoping it would make me feel better and now I've got really smell gas too.

Gotta run to the loo!

that's sucky. i hate my job, too.

hey, Linz, with your fibro, do you ever get weak hands? i feel like i'm having trouble picking stuff up and with things like typing. that's never happened to me before, though i have had carpal tunnel problems in the past. this doesn't seem like the same thing, 'cause they don't hurt they just feel all woobly....

I'm on my way back to bed, but I just wanted to say, Jen, that I get weak hands too. It seems to be the worst when I'm PMS, but it happens other times too. It's part of the lovely fibro crap we have to put up with.

I'm too cranky, I'm going back to bed.

Weird. I don't think I have fibro, I don't have any kind of pain symptoms, but I have definitely noticed over the past year that I have very weak hands. I have a lot of trouble opening jars and bottles, even things like soda bottles. I am also tired all the time too, but I attribute that to law school stress. I am supposed to be studying for finals right now, but I am still recovering from a very busy and stressful weekend (my brother got married up in Boston), so I've actually slept TWELVE HOURS each of the last two nights. I'm usually an early bird, and can make myself get up around 6 or 7 when I have a lot to do, but I've been getting up at 10:30 the last two days. I guess I just need to let my body have that rest so I don't collapse in the next couple of weeks. Counting down to May 17 when I am DONE WITH MY FIRST YEAR OF LAW SCHOOL! Whoopee! Of course there is a writing competition after that, but it won't be nearly as bad as finals. I'm spending the summer in London with my boyfriend (he lives there), and thinking about that is the only thing getting me through this stress. Well, these message boards help too. My tummy has been doing surprisingly well lately, considering all the stress and wedding food. My boyfriend flew in for the wedding though, and, miraculously, I am N E V E R sick when he's around. How weird is that?!

I hope you feel better, Linz! I'm sorry you're all achy and stuff! That's no fun! I hope that soon you can go home and be in bed! Maybe with a heating pad or hot water bottle and some tea! I always fall asleep with my heating pad on so my mom has to unplug it every night Silly me! I hope you feel better. I"m sending you rays of sunshine (it's sunny here) that you can soak up through your skin to warm your soul, okay? And a big bear hug! I hope you feel a bunch better! Get some sleep and no more smoothies for your tummy for a while..lol! Well, feel better!!!!!!!

Knackered? EH? If it means you're bummed out, I hope you get un-knackered soon, Girlfriend -- after all, you have a new home to play with! You don't have time to be knackered down.

I really think it's a combination of factors. First of all, he just makes me feel really good and calm and happy, which really helps. Also, I think it's really a question of mind over matter. There is nothing more embarassing than stinking up the bathroom at someone else's apartment, especially his. So when we go out for Lebanese food (our favorite) I eat tons of lamb and garlic and red wine, and then I just kind of use mind over matter and convince myself that I cannot get sick, that it's just not an option. It usually works, at least until he leaves for work and I have the place to myself. Honestly, I'm usually super sick for the first two days after we part, but I am find when we are together. go figure.

Tara, yup, cold pale hands. It's called Reynaud's syndrome and most fibromites have it. And toes.
