Hi Steph, I remember you talking about juicers and it intrigued me. I have a real hard time getting what I feel is enough veggies in me so I looked around for one on the internet and found one. Got it today and made apple/carrot/celery juice and had it after rice and chicken. I feel so energized and alert! I made apple/blueberry for my two girls and they loved it! Not too hard to clean either. Anyway, thanks for the idea. In just one day, with one cup of juice only, I already got a carrot, two celeries and an apple in me. Now that is progress and I feel okay so far!

I'm really happy for you! IT does make you feel good and energized! I really need to get one too. I've been using my moms! She lives around the block from me!

Okay, that's it. I'm getting me a juicer! I'd been thinkin' 'bout it for some time, but there are so many things we need to get for the house, I just hated spending the money right now.
But Cindy, you've talked me into it -- now it's all your fault. I gotta have me one. What kind did you order? WHERE did you order it? What web site? Did it come with recipes? How did you know how many carrots to put in it? Blueberries? Oh, please, were they WILD MAINE blueberries? No, couldn't be -- they're not in season yet -- ?
ooooooh, I gotta get me a JUICER!

Is this it? web page
Maybe on payday we'll drive down to Target ("Tar-Shay") or Bed, Bath & Beyond, and see what their price is. Your mom didn't order it online, did she?
I'm always trying to get fruit and veggies down my hubby; it's a constant struggle. The problem is he wants to eat what I eat, and I can't eat that stuff. With the juicer, I can eat "that stuff" by drinking it, and he'll want some too. Maybe we'll be able to lower our cholesterol without the use of any sorry-a-- nutrionitist!
Thanks Steph!

Hi Bev,
You will love it! We got ours from Open Chute, Inc. 623-847-2900. We got an Omega 8002 Nutrition Center, see www.omegajuicers.com. Not too hard to set up and use. It did not come with recipes but search google for juicer recipes and you will find alot, try www.juicefasting.org for some ideas, that is as far as I got with the recipes so far but there are a ton of them out there.
And yes they were Maine blueberries, not freshly picked but frozen!!
My husband is a really good researcher and he really likes this one because it had a low RPM so the nutrients don't get destroyed in the juice. It also can make pasta and nut butters! Have not tried those yet. It was on sale on line, I will get that website for you and they also offered free shipping. It came in about 7 days from Arizona.
Hope you get one, it is hard to part with the money, but investing in our health, that is a good place for your money.
I'll go check the website right now and get back to you.
Cindy

Cindy, I couldn't access that website; some kind of problem with my browser-- ?? But I was able to get into the second website and am printing out the recipes -- thanks!
Steph, I'll check WalMart -- it's not as far as Target or Bed, Bad & Beyond. Thanks!

Bev,
To check out the Omega Model and learn more about the company go to www.omegajuicers.com. But to buy it go to www.juiceandgrain.com. The price is way more than the one Steph got but read the reviews of the Omega vs the juiceman. Especially the part about the RPM's. The rpm on the Omega is 80 rpms and on the juiceman is 6300 rpms. Now if we were men we would go for the 6300 rpms right away, but hold on, in a juicer you want the lowest rpm's that will do the job as too many kill all the nutrients in the juice. Also it says that if your really going to use the juicer the Omega is built to last.
So thats why we went with the Omega and spent more money.
Oh and if you decide to buy the Omega buy it on the www.juiceandgrain.com website as they offer free shipping and a instant $25 coupon. Look for the discount email notice.
Gosh, it would be just so much easier to tell you all this if you were just right here...all this typing!!!!
Let us know what you decide and how you like it.

Okay, I understand about lots of RPMs whirling around real fast. But that's the motor, right? How can that kill anything?
Also, do I have to have it turned up that high, to 6300 rpms? Or do I not have a choice?
That first website won't work for me -- something about my browser, it doesn't like it or something -- but thanks anyway.
Sorry for all the questions, but that's the only way I know how to learn...
Thanks!
Bev
P.S.: Just went into that second website. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS?! No, thanks anyway Cindy, I don't need juice that badly.... Sheesh! Three Hundred Dollars! That would buy me one heck of a nice dining room light fixture!

Bev,
Go to www.juicersdirect.com/guide.asp and I think you will get your answers there. Sorry to confuse you so much. Steph is right in that they all work. I just tend to like to get into the gritty details of a product before I buy it as I have been burned in the past! Also, the Omega 8002 has a 10 year warranty!!! We got ours delivered to our door for $239. Which is alot for a juicer but we plan to use it alot and I think it will be up to that. But enough said, get what goes with your life. Good Luck. And get juicing! Cindy
