what do you do for a living? I think I will be a student for life....but really I am still a student and I start work next month as a biology technician which involves tracking caribou and bald eagles

how old are you? Recently turned 25

where did you go to school? Did 1 year at UPEI, 2 years at a local College, and currently trying to finish Bsc at Athabasca University by distance education

are you married, dating, single? Pretty much married (common law) but not on paper yet

what do you like to do on your down time? When I actually get down time I like to: hang out with family, go to the gym, go to the cabin, fish, hunt, hiking/bird watching, walk the dog, make moccasins, paint, gardening (during our short growing season), bake....that's all I can think of!

what makes you tick? Right now, when aboriginals think hunting an endangered caribou herd is ok (there are less than 100 animals left!), also when things break down (like my Snowmobile did yesterday, and had to get a tow!!)

How would you describe the 40's in a nutshell Bev? I don't want to have any false expectations you know.

Yeah, sorry forgot about that decade. Well let's see....for me high school was cut throat, after that everything got easier. How's that?

Thank you for all the information you provided about your distance education college:) I am definitely considering it due to health problems. I find that teaching myself is better for me, and I am motivated to finish school. I like the idea of home-schooling, and its more convenient. That's really neat that Athabasca is so flexible. I like the way their courses ar run with time to finish the course. Tutors and advisors? That's great! If I come up with any other questions, I'll be sure to ask you:) Thanks again!

Thanks JBI for posting your experience with Waterloo:) Any information that you guys can provide is really helpful to me, because you two are in their program and I want to know how you like the experience. I like the flexibility but set due dates and times are also a good idea to keep me on track. I didn't know about distance education degrees before. Since I am from the USA can I still apply to this distance education school in Canada? I have heard about online degrees from the University of Phoenix. I would like to go to school on campus, but I feel this is a better method for myself. Thank you and Have a nice weekend.

Okay . . . you're still doin' stuff like the young kids in their 30's, keeping up with them pretty darn well, completely unaware of what's happening to you.

You hit 50, and things start not working right. You can manage to keep up with your hubby (who's in his 60's, but doesn't act it), so you figure, hey, I'm still hot . . . (again, completely unaware of what's happening to you).

By 60, it's all over.

HI!

What do I do for a living??
I've been an esthetician for 6 years, I do facials, chemical and physical skin peels, waxing, makeup artistry.

How old am I?
29--turning 30 in August.

Where did I go to school?
I got my BA in psychology from Drake University in Iowa, and then to Johnson County Community College for my esthetics training.

Am I married, dating, or single??
I just got married in November to the best guy in the whole world, Phil.

What do I like to do in my down time??
Yoga, reading, trying not to be constipated, bloated, or gassy, getting together with friends, being with my animals (two rabbits and a cat), and spending lots of quality time with my husband and family.

What makes me tick?

HA HA HA! That's a good one. I am trying to figure that one out myself, actually.

Jen.
