Ok, I have not lost any weight yet, in fact I think I have gained, but it could be because my time of the month just came as well. Anyway, I am using this gain to make some big diet changes, I eat probably 25% of my calories in sugar. I eat way too much candy and sugar snack food. So starting today, I am cutting it out....as Bev says, no more sugaaaa!!!

good for you!

i "accidentally" had suggaa yesterday. "accidentally" meaning: i saw it and ate it. yesterday sucked and i was tired (of course!) so i had 2 Cokes (yum ) and some jelly beans and a mini-Snickers (just one!). it was worth it 'cause it all helped me stay awake enough to help my mother with dinner/dishes/clean-up.

naturally, i haven't gained or lost an ounce. my metabolism is still frozen!

Well, I was very good over the holiday. Didn't have much choice really; I mean, who wants to eat when they're all cramped up and pooping?

Don't know if I lost (or gained); my scales are in storage.

Lets see, what did I have yesterday?

5:00 a.m. -- Acacia tea
Breakfast -- 2 reduced-fat Bisquick waffles w/soy butter
Lunch -- Home made vegetable soup and a few saltines
Dinner -- Deli turkey samich on whole wheat w/mustard and soy cheese, no mayo

Exercise: constant trips from recliner to toilet and back.

Well, I totally ate too much candy this weekend, even after promising to be good! Refused to get on the scale today so I'm not sure how much "damage" was done! I must also jump on the sugar free wagon! I don't think I can go cold turkey but I plan to reduce my sugar by 3/4!

Its a new week, must think positive! I have been getting a lot of exercise, so thats a positive!

Ok, so right now, Jen, Bev, Michelle and myself (Amy) have cut out the sugar. I am on Day 1, doing good so far, between 2 and 5 is when I usually grab for pretty colored candy treats, so I am ready. I am mentally practicing saying no!!! I am not hungry, you do not need that!

I have a luna bar ready as my afternoon snack, I will have that arounf 3:30, it will give me good energy before my 5:15pm run.

We can do it!!!!!

I like the Luna bars too, but mine says it has 12 grams of sugar?? How many grams of sugar a day do you think is still acceptable?? I don't think I could eliminate ALL sugar from my diet.
